German PIRATE attests that Gaijin can sometimes be annoying on that point, but I guess from all of the replies, things are covered

Since Britain decided to not go for the Mk1 but the Mk2 if the Mk1 were to come to Italy and Germany, gaijin could decide to not go for it for the British one (just like they decided to not add Pirate to the German EFT), but since CAESAR is tranche 2+ compatible and Mk2 prototype has flown, things are covered

Leonardo UK built the ECRS Mk0, which evolved into the ECRS Mk2. The Mk1, developed by Hensoldt and Indra for Germany and Spain, was never intended for UK service.

Is there a significant performance difference between 1 and 2 as far as WT is concerned?

Mostly in E-War I believe so not presently no.

Hopium for CAPTOR-E

If they genuinely plan to add E-Scan to everything. It is the only realistic option for italy and Germany. Britain could get a bad soviet C&P with E-scan but that just feels dumb if Germany and italy get E-Scan

On a note regarding this. Germany explicitly decided not to participate in the development of the PIRATE system, they didn’t finance it, they didn’t contribute towards it, they had absolutely nothing to do with it and they just ‘could still use the system’. Obviously we know since then their testing aircraft have mounted it.

Euroradar CAESAR was a whole consortium option developed by companies from all of the nations and financed by all of the nations. Which even further makes it different than PIRATE because all nations contributed and financed it. It just makes no sense to swap it between airframes multiple times particularly when it’s a consortium developmental airframe. The arrangement is almost like leasing.

I still think Germany should get PIRATE now we’ve seen how it is in-game and how other systems are shared between aircraft, but particularly when it comes to CAESAR Selex ES (UK-ITA) was the leading partner, it would make even less sense to withhold it than the German PIRATE.

That’s my fear we don’t get ASRAAM but German and Italian Typhoons get IRIS-T

Then we should get IRIS-T due to NATO and Typhoon

Maybe I’m being paranoid, game is pretty much ready for 9X and IRIS-T.
ASRAAM is more problematic because of the range.

Also think the Radar is buggy out again…Radar obsessed with rockets while not locking the jet is infuriating and 120C don’t seem worth taking

Following brimstone logic, both aircraft will have IRIS-T and ASRAAM.
As to whether brimstone logic will be followed is beyond me.

This is pretty much every radar unfortunately.

Typhoon Radar was fixed and it was great now I’m not even getting all the targets in front of me on my Radar scope.

And 120Cs are just terrible, how did Gaijin think that was an upgrade?
They need to change the high alt performance I am tired of being slower than an F-15 when I exit a turn

MAWS is also bugged again with anything setting it off

at least you actually completed the turn in time

Going from mach 1.6 to mach 1.0 - 0.9 in a turn at high alt just shows how terribly modelled the Typhoons fm is.

You’re probably also pulling like 11-12 gs when you turn → do you really expect to maintain speed when turning that hard at high alt? the reason why f-15e technically loses less speed is cause it turns a lot less than the typhoon

Rafale doesn’t lose speed like that, the Typhoon also feels really unstable at high alt it “floats” around

rafale definitely loses alot more speed than typhoon when turning hard

Must be a recent change then because before it did not, pulled 16G and lost a tiny amount of speed

from the start to 2 mins in the video he goes from mach 1.65 pulls 15G and ends up at 1.4…

You’re WRONG about Rafale

Typhoon cannot do that, however the fm may have changed and that is no longer the case.
