Still not sure the Typhoon should have an AOA button.
This is a crutch to allow Gaijin to nerf the flight regime.
The AOA switch on Typhoon is to enable low speed recovery.

For the euro it feels really unstable, and I think for the rafale too since I saw it flat spinning a few times. But the Gripen, after gathering a few opinions from the people I fought against, seems to be more stable.
what i’m saying its complete bogus
you simply wont pull 90° of aoa in a eurofighter doing some kind of spinning cobra maneuver with over 90° of aoa
thats just not going to happen
I think it only goes from 24 to 50 ish?
Gripen deserves its fm to be competitive again…too many salty Russian and US mains have buried it.
So realistic…-24kph with full burner in a jet that has 90’000kg of thrust.
😆
Keep in mind, you got 2 of these Engines xD
So we speak about 2x 90’000 Newton xD
Is the maneuverability nerf justified? Is there a source? Or just a nerf? If so, why is Rafale not toned down?
So far Rafale has sources saying what it can do so no nerfs so far. Could just be the RFT suffering from Gripenitis where gaijin adjusts it based on their sources.
Pretty much just a nerf to make it “a bit more fair” as far as I am aware i.e Gripen syndrome. It’s still underperforming in terms of ITR and STR afaik (could be wrong tho, but I haven’t seen anything to confirm that isn’t the case).
I can do what I want; it doesn’t pull more than 12g. Feel kind of helpless.
Surely it can now get its F&F ordnance in GRB, since the FM is now F-16 like.
That shouldn’t be physically possible… Empty weight of 11 tons + 2 tons fuel is way below the 18 tons of thrust (17 tons if a pessimistic approach is taken for “installed thrust”). In this situation the plane should be climbing vertical and accelerating fast (4-5 tons more thrust than its own weight), especially at only 3000 meter height.
Where are you even getting these numbers from lol
He probably just put an extra 0 in there by mistake, but converting kN to kg is literally doing kN*102.
You could always flat spin the rafale with low speed high AOA and rudder movements. The APA button makes it even more sensitive to rudder input in those regimes. Need to be careful in the rafale with this button, flat spins are unrecoverable currently
Yep. I even saw someone trying to recover those spins by counter ruddering + counter split thrust, but the spin is so fast that you just need to J out at that point.
They pretty cry about anything they can’t easily beat especially Russian first Gripen now EFT what next i wonder.
I was doing some testing with a friend yesterday, and compared to J-10, the Eurofighter feels horrendous, the rudder is far too reactive, almost to the point of making the aircraft unflyable using the AoA toggle while in mouse aim, especially in the rate fight. It’s handy for whipping your nose around when holding W/S and the extra nose authority is nice, but the sacrifice we made to the FM really doesn’t deem the button worth it at all.
The Rafale and J-10 feel far better than Eurofighter in a 1v1 currently, and the gripen needs it’s FM buffed for the first time, it just feels sad to fight now that everything at top tier can sit inside it’s circle and spray’n’pray until they get lucky
It is not a “I win” button. There’s a reason why you turn off the “flight control” system for that. I believe we do not have any charts to prove or disprove if it is behaving realistically or not. Same goes for other aircraft you mentioned.
Mouse aim always will be sketchy when ingame instructor does not help you during maneuvers.
