You have to do some calculations with period
Period of 1 means it does one cycle 1 time per second. The bigger the slower. For example:
Period of 1,5 means that it does 0,6 of the cycle per second, or that it does 40 cycles per minute.

Like what? Range? AWG-9 has greater range than the Su-34 PESA but which is the better radar in every other way?

like make it an Aim-9M Modification which gaves you the 9M and the 9L/I-1 so the player can chose what the he wants to use

I wasnt sure if the period was 1 bar or what, none of the calcs i tried seemed to spit out the correct scan rate Flame was mentionning, so i just eyeballed it a bit.
In hindsight i only looked at the datamines when i woke up, so might not have been thinking straight.
Ill compare a few later unless someone beats me to it.
What is one cycle… is it whole scan from top to down, is it bar. What is it.

Awesome. So now that y’all have found it to be non-smokeless, why do we still see smoke coming out of the Eurofighter? Here is the bug report, I would hope that this will be fixed as expeditiously as y’all have “fixed” the non-smokeless L/I-1.

imo its fine that they remove the smokeless engine… IF would they buff the IRCCM at the same time
iirc 9L/i uses track suspension while the 9L/i-1 uses gate width
I always thought that the period is the amount of time in seconds taken to do a complete scan. Granted it’s been a while since I poked around in the radar files, but I’m sure that’s how it used to be.
Because these are two separate issues? Im not sure why you think a fix to a missile would somehow change the exhaust of an aircraft.
i am thinking, that since there was a mountain of evidence for this missile being smokeless, and that it was fixed incredibly fast. 9L/I-1 was introduced on the dev server (what like a week ago…?)
A report made about the same time, with arguably an even bigger “bug”, with 41 “Same Issue” gets Accepted, and then nothing from it?
Smokless engine for the brand-new plane seems like it should be on the top priority list, no?
How important to the devs was the 9L/I-1 being smokless or not? To the players, it seems that this was made TOP priority, seeing how incredibly fast y’all fixed it. Was there a bug report on it? Did y’all find some document somewhere and decide to use it? Did a player find and submit it?
I thought too, bud when i threw it in video, yes its cut manually but i took it from moments of start and end of scan.

Well, yes. I just overly complicated it.
We seriously need that bug fixed ASAP… it literally killed captor.
It didnt kill captor, captor is alresdy pretty trash in-game with or without the bug. Anything that is even in the same ballpark as the Su-27’s radar should be considered one of the worst radars in-game (at top tier).
Priority track would “fix” the issue of not getting to the target on time (would refresh on every bar) but it wouldnt fix the issue of the radar being a slow piece of garbage at actually aquiring targets its not already tracking.
I think we are all just VERY confused that players fought for a new, domestic armament to be added. Fought tooth and nail for months to get it. We get it. A week later its removed, cited from seemingly nowhere, after numerous players submitted mountains of sources stating it was smokeless, and replaced with a missile the jet literally didn’t use.
You have now opened it up to “akschually Ger EF2000 can’t use 9M” reports, followed by weeks of you or another mod saying “balance reason.”
Would love to see the bug report with the source saying it was smokeles, dont have to show the source, just say what it is :)

there is no interleaved mode and high res SAR doesnt need a high scan speed
