Eurofighter Typhoon - Germany's Best Fighter Jet

Tanks have already been added to EFT. Others may come in the future, but won’t be soon for sure. A suggestion report with photos is fine though.

Meh, I got plenty of text… but no Pics so far…

Those pylons are for countermeasures, you can see clearly see them.

These are not pylons, but CM despensers.

Ah thanks. Didn’t know that. And the wing droptanks? Is there a way to mount missiles on them? Cause they’re not really needed. EF seems to consume not that much fuel.

Currently there isn’t sufficient evidence to show it was done. But reports are welcome if evidence can be found.

No, just like Rafale those pylons are dedicated for fuel tanks and current missile amount is correct.

There are couple propositions that includes double rack for Fox-3 missiles but none of them became operational yet.

According to Eurofighter it’s entirely possible to do so. Just because there isn’t public images of it being done doesn’t mean it isn’t possible.

So the decision not to give AMRAAMs for the inner pylon is inconsistent with previous decisions of a similar nature, such as giving the SA Gripen R-Darters.

Sadly so far these don’t prove anything beyond just a proposal. So since there isn’t a balance concern
with the Eurofighter and in the absence of any clear evidence it is possible on the variants in game, it remains to be viewed by the Devs as a proposal only.

The current missile loads are correct for operational aircraft.

So it could come in the future if the devs decide it’s needed for balance purposes? Like keeping it relevant with other aircraft?

So, to summarize: Effectively everything of these (repeating) discussions originate from the fact that there is no comprehensive information collection (wiki) about how and why stuff like armaments, values (avionik, engines, flight model, radar, IRTS), etc. are implemented for these vehicles. As the devs only use “non-confidential” sources and evidence for their implementations it should be easy for them to build something like that where everyone can comprehend why these values were chosen and can see for which values no sources exist and an “educated guess” was taken. This would make bug reports much more specific and less redundant and would massively reduce pointless discussions too without having you to point out everytime that there are sources which are used but not shared by the devs.
Maybe that is something you could suggest to the devs or somebody who would be responsible for that as that would make life easier for everyone involved. This would increase transparency by a lot.

There are other ways if increasing it’s effectiveness loadout wise if other missiles become available in the future. However we are a very from a point where the Eurofighter will become “irrelevant”.

Or if we find solid evidence of it being used on operitonal airframes

My idea is to just go onto a military airfield strapping amraams on the wing pylons of the EF and make a picture of it.
(this is totally not a bad idea)

Ohh how i hope the Panzerhaubitze 2k will get the same attention soon.

But i digress off topic

This is a Eurofighter topic. Please stay on track.

There are alot images of Eurofighters using full ground ordnance. Seems to be more than just a fuel line.

So does that mean the inner pylon AMRAAMs are not entirely off the table for the future?

Naturally if more solid evidence can be found for them, we don’t rule out further consideration for them. But given the current circumstances, there are no plans for them currently.
