Or if we find solid evidence of it being used on operitonal airframes
My idea is to just go onto a military airfield strapping amraams on the wing pylons of the EF and make a picture of it.
(this is totally not a bad idea)
Ohh how i hope the Panzerhaubitze 2k will get the same attention soon.
But i digress off topic
This is a Eurofighter topic. Please stay on track.
Was the pun intented?
There are alot images of Eurofighters using full ground ordnance. Seems to be more than just a fuel line.
So does that mean the inner pylon AMRAAMs are not entirely off the table for the future?
Naturally if more solid evidence can be found for them, we don’t rule out further consideration for them. But given the current circumstances, there are no plans for them currently.
Well, then where rmk-30 for uht? Planned of course
Fuel tanks and air-to-ground weapons.
One thing for sure those pylons arent for a2a which what i was trying to explain.
Well we can’t be sure.
The EF can fire Harm missiles from those pylons
or anti ship missiles like the marte-er
There is no logical reason why the pylon should be technically restricted to air to ground missiles / bombs etc. You can fit anti rad missiles, but no Amraams?
That is the point I tried to make
Most of the time it is better to let people come to the conclusion themselves instead of straight up telling them
Which none of them are a2a missiles.
They need similar data from the fcs to be fired if not even more than an amraams
Why did the German eurofighter lose its integrated targeting camera?
Bc it doesn’t have an IRST
No the integrated camera underneath fuselage, not talking about the IRST
It doesn’t have one never had irl
That was a bug on the dev server
It still has a targeting pod
