You do have a point, with fuel tanks we might be abie to perform a vertical take off and gain altitude far away from the battlefield while being undetected by PD radars.
Take a look at my alternative flight mode presentation.
As you can see, by forcing control surfaces into a shape reminding a helicopter rotor and disabling one of the engines we practically turning this plane into a, well, a helicopter. Okay, I understand that it’s pretty dumb, okay, we MIGHT need flaps to take off like that if we’re taking fuel tanks.
to correct you then
no nation tranche 1 has a2g missles
the only official a2g missle the typhoon has in the first place is the brimstone which you know… got gimped by gajin and only used from block 2 onwards
besides that there is cruise missle taurus /shadow and experimantal glide bombs like hope and hosbo but its questionable if we get them
Pretty much just GBUs until the Brimstone (which is laser guided in WT), some nations could get TV guided GBUs though, like Germany with their HOPE and HOSBO, basically just GBU-15s but with better range.
I’m sure with typhoon’s size and handling you can plant that gbu right up their radar from 3 meters away, another thing is that I would probably use cannons for that, they’re extremelly good at destroying ground vehicles.
I’d just hope for HOPE/HOSBO, basically 4xGBU-15 but with better range and is drop & forget. Bug Gaijin is fickle and chances are we will never see them in the game because Germany ain’t Russia or US to be hand-held in the air, lol.
well first of all the GBU-48 is GPS/INS + Laser guided, so you dont need to keep a laser on it and if it gets loft, like the Paveway IV or the GBU-54B, aka LJDAM, already has, then you can even throw them outside the Pantsirs range, sure he can shoot them down, but so can be AGMs
