Meteor cannot be carried on any stealth aircraft, so the only option is for it on typhoon fgr.4

yes, but wouldnt the added agility of the AMK be specialy useful /needed for dogfighting.
While of course always useful i see less benefit of it for bvr
At that point the main aspect of the AMK becomes the increased load the EFT can carry as the main argument
I know, I just spent 5 minutes looking for a good picture, but it would be kinda dumb to make the cannon unusable, so yeah there might be a gap in the future, though I don’t think IPA7 has one.
Doesn’t look to be a covering on the port either, but who knows. I will look and see if I can find anything saying it tested a gun or something.

My only stance on it and AIM-260 is that non-stealth aircraft getting into no-escape range is bad.
Maybe the stealth era of War Thunder can fit it, but that’ll require a lot of balancing.

It has efficiency benefits, which certainly the RAF care about. One military commentator person claimed an RAF official said they wanted the TVC due to the modification actually improving engine lifecycle costs and therefore being more efficient.
Same applies to AMK, but I wholeheartedly agree it would be stupid to just cover up the gun.
tbh i dont think 260 will be very powerful in game, especially given the competitors in game will be chinese with pl-17, russians with R-37M and of course meteor.
i mean wont complain in that regard, the IRIS-T would be the better dogfighting missle then the ASRAAM a bonus for germany.

Dont think you guys will get AMK tbh, and yes iris-t will be much more useable.

It might just be me but I hope not to see stealth aircraft, I can’t imagine it being entertaining.
The options to me are: No stealth aircraft. Hard cap on 5th gens only fighting 5th gens, or they take creative liberty to give as many nations a unique one.
With IPA3, 100% certain. Was pretty sure I was told this is true for other IPAs as well but you’re right that it may have changed on IPA7 and IPA8 as they were diverted from production line aircraft.
i can already see myself with a mostly iris-t loadout hidding in the mountains until dogfighting range and then terrorise people

And makes me question how much it would affect the performance as well if the AMK would get a cannon hole. But thats aerodynamics and goes way above my head
I imagine it would decrease performance as you are creating more turbulent air, but not significantly so.
But then again such a small LERX and strake enlargement is yielding a *supposed 10% increased STR which is insane so maybe it would be significant.

Read it on some random commentator website, take it with a pinch of salt.
i doubt well find evidence of gun/no gun on pictures. if theres no gun then they likely just kept the same panels as the default one already has a cover for the muzzle.
the AMK will offer significant improvements. Size doesnt matter lol. its about aerodynamics. that small extension can produce a significant amount of extra lift because of vortices
