Eurofighter Typhoon - Germany's Best Fighter Jet

image

The PIRATE OLS has not yet been installed on production aircraft in Germany

what about the italian ones then

Ideal order of adding EFTs.
First patch: DA2
Second patch: F.2, DA1
Third patch: FGR.4, IPA3
Fourth patch: IPA7.

so you are saying that pirate will make a huge difference?

Double standards.

I found an article that This TVC engine should have been installed in DA1

I don’t know who he is. Rather, it will be needed for the IRIS-T covert guidance

don’t have the LWS

But it never was and DA1 is a development aircraft

Btw, why German and Spain ones? Why not Italy?
Hmmmmmmm?

what is the difference between mws and lws

The first flight tests are expected in late 2002-early 2003. In addition, Eurofighter and EuroJet expressed a desire to begin flight tests of the DA1 equipped with a nozzle sometime in 2003. How this fits in with the X-31 test phase is currently unclear.

@Gunjob Will DA1 have TVCs?

Maybe look up the actual EFT versions before posting here. DA.1 is equal to DA.2, it should not come a patch late

IRST is carried on WTD 61 aircraft (which belong to the BW), with the other aircraft also having the option to carry them, there is no reason to withhold it. LWS is true but questionable how effective it will be

ah, so you just want to troll or derail, understood

That’s just a random third party site that we do not consider an acceptable source material.

I’m not confirming or denying anything on future additions, just setting expectations. I cannot see any EFT coming with TVC engines unless they start getting fit to production airframes.

On if DA airframes, would be a developer choice, all those airframes also flew with the standard EJ200’s so they could just intro them as such.

To further this, given the EFT performance numbers @Flame2512 has sourced there is no need for a TVC equipped EFT, nothing will hold a candle to it at present anyway.

I do not see that the Yak-141 would be supplied or tested with OLS or Chaff

These are prototypes of the engine? Some used different standards for the afterburner for example, this is not TVC.

I’d abandon that method of rebuttal, you will get nowhere. As I said before the Yak-141 did not establish any new rules for future additions.

The Soviets are allowed, the Germans are not.

-01C engines use annular vaporising burners, -03 engines use annular air spray burners.

Plenty of prototype aircraft in the German tree, the Horten 229 being a prime example. But this is off topic. This is the last I will comment on the matter.
