Mach 0.6 is fast, but a missile isnt defending its flying in straight line. Your aircraft in game are flying near double that. And changing direction
95% success rate of anything. Patriot success rate is much lower. Some putting it at 70%

Patriot is much older as well. HtK too. Many factors. I don’t really know how SR is calculated. But I know it depends on how widespread, old and popular missile is.
Sensor system of IRIS-T is more advanced than of a Patriot.

Patriot is older but the missiles arent, PAC 3 Patriot missiles are capable of intercepting near anthing even the Hypersonics…
SM-6 also states in testing it acheived 100% of the interceptions. These arent real world conditions though.
IRIS-T is an incredbile system, just dont be surprised in game when you still die to a Kh-38MT
in reality under real life conditions it got a 99% inertecption rate… not like we are allowed to use that data for … reasons. but yeah, its just gonna be that we will be oversaturated by missles and cant realy shoot back. At least if they would increase intercepting rewards
Wasn’t there a proposal to upgrade some of the german typhoons with more ecm equipment and harm to replace the current tornados? I assume it was scrapped but i cant find info on it anymore. Was supposed to be the Typhoon ecr or something.

It’s in development and will release with or just after Tranche 5 will include SAABs Arexis EW system which imho should be standardised on EFT Tranche 5 and will also potentially include ECRS MK.2 IIRC.

Arexis is on the Gripen E’s yeah? Weird it’ll be very interesting to see how it performs on the EFT hoping it might be expanded on with the EFT but i guess time will tell.
Yes Arexis is the one on the Gripen E. It consistently ranks as either the first or second best self protection EW system in the world. EuroDASS is also getting an upgrade though with the Praetorian upgrade package set to release as part of P4E iirc with Leonardo UK as project lead.
Given Germany has chosen Arexis I assume that it’s better than this Praetorian+ thing but it could also just be that as Arexis will be done by Airbus the workshares might work out better for Germany as Leonardo is doing the upgrade’s in Luton, UK.

It isn’t really all that impressive. I’m sure it can handle fast maneuvering targets but not as well as other SPAA (as far as range goes)
yes though that can be said about any system if u compare it to one wich has more range.
My Point is that in its range its the Deadliest system right now.

Yeah that’s true
A Strela will already guarantee a kill within 3-5 km(depending), i think the Iris-T will extend that to about 6-8km, but this still sucks because USSR will still have the best standoff AT weapon (by far) and this addition won’t help much at intercepting munitions(doesn’t have enough ammo for that anyway).
At least it’ll have smokes and we get to see the iris-t in its first form in game.
I am curious if they’ll add it to Germany as well, i doubt it but maybe it’s a ITO situation?
