It was worded as though CAPTOR-M ever should have been competitive and that is not the case.
False

False
The RBE2-AA has minimal affect on the MICAs post launch, it won’t change much.
How is it false? Right now RBE2-AAs features actually work, like the TWS, the scan speed is high enough that the ‘data refresh rate’ doesn’t just forget that there is a target in front of it (unlike with CAPTOR, which more often than not will drop the track right after ‘acquiring’ it). Have you even seen how ducked EFTs radar is and how many reports are there on it just to get it to a working state? Cause it seems doubtful.
Right now people think MICA is better because of RBE2 being a radar that actually works and isn’t trying to have a boxxing match with you like CAPTOR-M is.
Especially given the ability for the Rafale to fire a MICA during a full notch without effort but the Typhoon can barely find the Rafale at ranges where it holds the advantage. You spend more time just trying to get the CAPTOR-M to see a target than you do, doing literally anything else
Preach. Using the CAPTOR is like trying to wrestle a Grizzly bear barehanded and while starved. I’ve watched a tech mod play both the Rafale and the EFT back-to-back, and the ease with which RBE2 allows the Rafale to operate, in comparison to how much of a hassle CAPTOR currently is, made me want to quit playing ARB until Gaijin actually does something about EFTs radar.
Like, he went 6:0 in the Rafale, and then 1:1 in the EFT, just because the former’s radar doesn’t require you to spend half the match trying to get it to work properly.
Also, I dont know why, but MICA are virtually unnotchable within about 10km. AMRAAM seem very easy to notch in comparison. I have no issue dealing with a Typhoon, but if a Rafale gets that close I have no chance of survival.
DECM doesn’t jam azimuth, but distance.
Well, F3R (in game its even older F3) doesn’t have HMD integrated, unlike +Eurofighter who is PIRATE ready and is installed as necessary (RedFlag Alaska 2012).
Standard French Rafales <=F3R don’t have HMDs.
Yeah, IRIS-T entered service with EF T1 (the one we have in game).
Thx for “helping” GER mains, instead of giving them what they’re due and that’s IRIS-T.
Can you show French op. Rafale sqn. whos pilots fly HMDs?
Well, French Rafales don’t use HMDs and yet, the guy even got DL, which not all French Rafales have.
Also, outta 160 (or so Rafales) French have AESA on 20 of them. Let’s see how you’ll defend AESA being installed in Rafale…
Cmon man, you’re trying to defend indefensible.
Clearly you (GJ) run a different set of rules for GER and for the others.
Guys, wanna know something?
The F-4F ICE has an better radar than the Eurofighter xD
okau
We do have the F.3R in-game. (Don’t ask me why its not “F.3R” in the TT)
Export F.3Rs already have HMCS integrated by Custumer preverences. French ones were tested; HMCS fully integrated and operated with F.4.1:
I won’t even go into the rest…
Yeah, except it’s not Rafale C (AdlA), but Rafale EQ and EH that fly in Quatar and India.
Luftwaffe’s EF OTOH is PIRATE ready.
Oh cool. The pilot inside clearly wears French flying uniform, right?
Why don’t you show the entire plane?
OTOH, I can show you the Lw’s entire plane with the PIRATE and the Lw’s pilot inside, in Lw’s uniform.
The only “problem” is the plane is registered in Manching.
Let me put it this way, Luftwaffe has more PIRATEs in the stock then the AdlA has RBE2 AAs, altogether.
@Smin1080p_WT
Dont the ESA radars have a similar mechanic? Can this be adapted for the CAPTOR?
Additionally, is there any consideration in giving the German Eurofighter some unique advantage to offset their unique disadvantages (of lacking both PIRATE and LWS)
For example the laser guided Sidewinders or the HOSBO bomb?
Very good points in your last 2 posts here, unfortunately they are falling on the mods Deaf Ears.
Won’t add IRST to EF cause it didn’t use it *on most crafts (lol).
Added MICA and HMD to Rafale on the incorrect variant, because it could use them
Added British Typhoon with LWS/IRST. because it used them.
Italian has IRST, because it used them on most crafts
Unfortunately, the German EFT is the worst out of the 3 introduced, there is ZERO argument against this, anyone else is coping.
I’m 95% sure that this is due to the MICA’s horrific amount of wobble constantly changing the missile’s AoA.
Ofc…
That too…
Not all Italian Typhoons from the same sqn. run PIRATE. :D
But hey, GJ made game more “interesting” for the GER, by “embracing differences”.
Still, those differences are always on GER TT’s detriment…somehow :D
Now if only gaijin would do those differences with the gripens, and future vehicles or ignore that for the sake of balance
Both have been passed to the devs as suggestions. Its entirely possible in the future. Neither have been ruled out longer term.
Yes British / Italian Block 1 and 2 aircraft did not have PIRATE because it wasn’t ready. But ALL British / Italian Block 1 & 2 aircraft were upgraded to Block 5 standard (which included PIRATE) by 2012.
These are Typhoon F.2s. Not Block 10+ FGRs.
Some F.2s were later upgraded to FGR.4s.
Twin seat T1 or T3.
But they already did. :D
Thailand’s Gripen is somehow (euphemism) related to (wait for it) JAPAN and is Japanese TT now!! :D
