Gaijin act like they give us too much and we asking for more
Looks like gaijin is getting ready to fix CAPTOR-M, right?
So who is going to complain if the German EFs get IRST? We know German Tranche 2s can use it, and we know it can be taken off and added as needed. Just add it as a researchable modification.
The only thing I can think of is if Gaijin wants to add 98+07 as a separate vehicle to pad out the tech tree and make as grind an entirely new EF just for IRST. Or make it a 90 dollar premium…
Good joke…
why do you think a cm will tell devs to add something or add anything to the game themselves
Premium.
They will make it a 100$ pack.
Well we could see it only as pocket tech. Only for money
honestly just see it like germany in the future getting the only IPA 7 with IRST and AMK kit and be happy
the IRST isnt that big of a deal
It REALLY doesn’t seem like that, and that wasn’t conveyed to the players.
What it DOES seem like is:
You release the ETFs.
Attempt to give Germany their correct loadout.
Loadout isn’t good, so to avoid a complete mess, you hurriedly give it 9M, to make it comparable to the other 2, otherwise its DOA.
You claim “well since it used it!” and provide Rafale with ahistorical loadout.
German EFT is literally the worst out of the 3 released. It lacks IRST first and foremost.
Which is insane, given everyone, including devs, know the German air tree had been lacking for years, then go go about EFTs like this. It doesn’t make sense in the slightest.
There is no “distinctive feature” on the German EFT, as the other 2 have the same, AND more.
This is how the playerbase is viewing your implementation. Please do not just take the rafale line and comment that, there is much more to the post.
At least gaijin wants to make some changes to CAPTOR-M, isn’t it, it would be too bad to keep it that way
Unfortunately im not sure how it couldn’t seem like that.
When asked during the dev server why AIM-9L/I-1 or AIM-9M wasn’t added, we mentioned clearly that they were under consideration, however the investigations into the 9L/I-1’s smokeless capabilities had not yet reached its conclusion.
Due to the feedback of many here within this topic, we decided to introduce 9L/I-1 regardless, with 9M on standby as a smokeless option should it be conclusively proved 9L/I-1 did not have a smokeless motor.
It was always the intention (and preferable) to leave Germany with its own domestic AIM-9L/I-1 to give it something different from AIM-9M. But a higher priority was always to keep it with a smokeless option regardless. Plus 9L/I-1 does not go to waste as it retains a domestic IRCCM capable option for those that want to use it for any personal decisions.
Sadly it seems even when we directly follow requests in many cases like this one example here (9L/I-1 and 9M) there is next to no positive reception to that and it just moves on to the next negative thing. Drawing into question if it was reasonable to follow the feedback here in the first place and provide the running commentary and answers that we did at the time.
I would feel a lot better about giving positive reception for changes if we didn’t have to fight tooth and nail for every. Single. Change. It’s exhausting.
Absolutely. There is no argument against this. Everyone would’ve wanted the 9L/I-1 to be used, and it’s a shame that it’s not smokeless.
Nevertheless, what can be done about giving Germany their “distinctive feature,” that was the 9L/I-1, but has none now? It’s been repeated that it has “distinctive features”, but what are they?
A bit of gaslighting, no? We simply want a NON-GIMPED version of the BEST plane Germany uses.
Y’all introduce 3 variants, with one simply being a “stripped-down” version of the other 2. Kinda crazy, no?
“Dual Mode” which one the first? And the second mode?? Even no GNSS too… Well we not see other mode except Laser Guided here…
This is the version of the aircraft Germany uses, as they use it. We have not “worsened” it in that regard, this is how the Luftwaffe chose to operate their frontline aircraft.
We have introduced all 3 in the same standard as those 3 nations operate them, reflecting their individual differences. Otherwise its 3 identical versions of the same plane with no differences. Where its possible to have differences, we will always try to reflect that.
So Germany gets it’s aircraft as frontline service variants… But France gets it’s aircraft with all it’s test features? How is that fair?
I suppose Brimstones and Paveway IVs could be removed from the German Typhoon for a more authentic modeling of the Tranche 2 Typhoon :P
We have only 1 Rafale in game currently and the HMD / MICAs greatly increase the balance of this aircraft in game and were tested on the version we have in game.
Equally the German EFT was given AIM-9M under the same balance considerations. Similarly with some ground ordinance too.
PIRATE is however not planned for this version of the EFT. There are 3 variants of Typhoon in game currently, each with their differences.
Every 262 variant ever thought of is in the game, Germany has had its fair share of “pushing the boundaries”.
