Its from this book

here the download

According to wikipedia:

Im curious about how fast the scan rate is considering what’s being said here tbh. There is substantially more detailed info on the wikipedia page than i was expecting. Its gonna be interesting digging through the sources later.

Yep

keep in mind that the current missile limit isnt the radar but the amount of missiles you can use which is 8 but 2 of those are IR so 6 MRAAMs

but there had to have been an upgrade when Meteor was added

What!? Really?

According to the Russian classification, the Su-34 is a front-line bomber…It does not fly without the Khibiny complex and was originally designed with it, during the design process the complex could not be made integrated into the airframe…

So translation no rwr an dthe thing will realy realy suck in game becsuse of that?

how many countermeasures does the eurofighter have? didnt find any sources

Two BOL rails so 320 small caliber countermeasures and two cobham dispensers so 32 large caliber countermeasures

BOL IRL is not small

In game it is small due to how much of it you get and nothing to do with its real world performance

I was talking about how they would be or are already modelled ingame. I know that BOL works very differently IRL compared to ingame

As others have said, 320 BOL packets from two rails, then there are 32 55mm charges total in two dispensers below the wings.

But also these are programmable with programmable flares and active radar decoys.

unsure whether its 32 or 36 or varies between production and prototype variants

I counted them on this one which is production, seems to be 16 holes per dispenser.

how is it with the gripen compared to eurofighter or rafale

in terms of countermeasures maws etc

Gripen has more CM’s as it is confirmed to be able to carry BOL rails on 4 pylons, Eurofighter hasn’t been shown with more than 2 rails just on the outer wingtips though some of the new BAE marketting renders seem like they might show 4.

Rafale has less flares with a maximum of 64 flares and 224 chaff.

Eurofighter has a maximum of 320 BOL CM’s split between flares or chaff plus up to 32 programmable flares/chaff (you can take either). IMO the ideal loadout would probably be half and half, maybe more of the smart chaff than smart flares as BOL should cover it when it gets unnerfed.

MAWS i’m not gonna claim to be the most informed in but all three have MAWS.

Eurofighter has 3 AESA MAWS antennae giving 360 degree coverage around the aircraft, PIRATE is optional and can also track missiles in the frontal aspect using both UV and IR tracking including once the motor has finished burning, the LWS also provides 360 degree coverage from lasers.

Rafale has 2 UV MAWS antennae though I don’t know the coverage of them. These can detect missiles though struggle more once the motor has burnt out.

Gripen also has MAWS not sure what kind, also as Skyward-G on Gripen E is based on PIRATE I imagine it has similar functionality though the system is smaller and has lower processing power.

If you speak German the German wikipedia is actually much, much, much better than the English one.

And if you don’t then the English translation is close enough.

Particularly this one on Praetorian
