Eurofighter Typhoon - Germany's Best Fighter Jet (Part 2)

Gaijin could just add the Austrian Eurofighter as a “low Br” solution

that one would be no different from the 14.3 EF that we already have

I am kinda surprised we havent got some Premium EFs YET

No ARH missile (fairly certain), no RWR (unsure)

Austria bought used T1 EFs

so they do have Fox-3s and a RWR

some Austria EFs

No way, they call them Eurofighter Typhoon 2000

So our Germans have the Austrian Name /s

Austria hasn’t bought AMRAAMs. They went seriously cheap on their EF2Ks

and the austrian EF would still get them, for the same reason the swiss hornets have A2G weapons

“australian”

idk what you mean

that cant be from me bc i would never use capital letters

Unless they decided they specifically wanted a typhoon (probably be in the German TT) without.

The Finnish F18 for example, iirc, it gets basically nothing.

id never make such a mistake ong

What makes you believe that? The German F-4F Phantom hasn’t received it’s AIM-9Ls either. So why would an Austrian Typhoon get AMRAAMs?

thats mostly balancing tho iirc

why did the Swiss F-18 recive air to ground munitions, even tho they never bought them?

because they are technically compatible

They received them, as Gaijin loves arbitrary decision making. The Swiss Hornet doesn’t get all the weaponry it could get either (AGM-154s). Why? Only Gaijin knows. But I still doubt that an Austrian EF2K would receive AMRAAMs, because it not having access to them would make it unique

I could see them adding Austrian Typhoon to Germany, Saudi Typhoon to Britain and Turkish/Kuwait Typhoon to Italy as premiums in largely the same fit as the M-Scan phoons

or

I could see an Austrian Typhoon being added to Germany as an event vehicle in a historically accurate fit of SRAAMs only at a lower BR.

I would like to see the Austrian EF2K as a “low Br” Typhoon event vehicle with two IRIS-Ts, to test the waters for the implementation of the newest generation of IR missiles. Sort of what Gaijin did with the Bulgarian (?) Su-25 that had R-73s

If they bother with such a test aircraft (given that SAMs have kinda been doing that testing already), i actually reckon it would be something like a Jaaaaaag or a Tonka with them, not something capable like a Typhoon.

Probably, yes. But who knows. The Austrian EF2K is a very unique case after all. No EuroDASS, no AMRAAM, no PIRATE, probably no HMS and armed with only two, albeit highly capable short range missiles on likely the best airframe in the game. I would think that this makes it a good candidate to test such weaponry on
