As it currently stands, the 420k RP grind for purely a radar upgrade is rather steep and the grind feels excessive for what is a fairly minimal difference. There is a large number of possible changes that could be made to distinguish this Typhoon from the CAPTOR-M version and make it more interesting.

These could include:

  1. Striker II HMD

The Brand new HMD being developed by BAE and the most advanced HMD in the world.

A relatively minor addition overall, but would look very cool and be a meaningful QoL upgrade for Sim players over the Striker I

  1. SAL Brimstone 2s

Whilst MMW remains contenious, there is little excuse for not having SAL Brimstone 2s to give the Typhoon a meaningful upgrade in A2G roles. As it stands, there is no excuse for why the Typhoon or even Tornado dont already have SAL Brimstone 2s

This is one of the most significant capability gap the Typhoon has with no Fire and Forget weapons. There are several options for this such as HOSBO, PGM-500, Spice-250 and Spear-Glide.

AMK increases the aircrafts ITR and AoA, giving a meaningful improvement to the aircrafts dogfighting ability. This has been confirmed for P4E.

A more capable targeting pod to the Litening III and I imagine would be on par to Sniper already in game

In addition to the other A2G weapons we could get, we also lack half decent GNSS weapon, especially stand off weapons such as Taurus/Storm Shadow and Spear-3s

He should be developed as a component, like the Tunguska, considering that both are identical aircraft.

The advantage of a seperate airframe means that ASRAAM/IRIS-T and METEOR can be added later and the Current Typhoons with CAPTOR-M can stay put, avoiding a gap. I dont mind the delay between airframe and weapon systems, but they could do more than just CAPTOR-E this update. Especailly as some items like SAL Brimstone 2s should have come 15 months ago

tbf, just ANYTHING, slap an Taurus on it with GNNS guidence and I would allready call it an Win…
but in the current form, just an New radar isnt worth 410k RP, make it in an folder or gave us SOMETHING new on it…

It seems like a real missed opportunity to add a late model typhoon and not include any of the later upgrades it received I know Striker II HMD would be a fair bit of work for the devs, but even something like Litening V would be much appreciated.

There is clearly support for a typhoon with more advanced features, just look at the votes on this suggestion post: Typhoon FGR.4 (late) - The Final Evolution, Britain’s Apex Predator

maybe you should add an poll to fix the GBU Guidence because, Other GBU Options are to 90% useless if they cant hit anything /s

They should be foldered bc a radar upgrade isn’t that huge of an upgrade and could have been already implemented in the current versions of the Eurofighters that are already in game, other wise to make it a truly separate vehicle that is worth grinding they should upgrade the plane in terms of capabilities like HMD and HUD fix bugs to improve the general QOL and introduce new weapons for the new EF like SPEAR, Brimstone 2, SPICE 250…etc., so it can be truly a unique vehicle and not just a C/P that we need to grind 420k for it.

Don’t overly like the typhoon. It is the ugliest of the danger doritos. But it would be nice if it could do literally anything to convoys in a reasonable span of time, it is frankly time for FnF brimstones and it is an utter travesty their opposition to it. Honestly goes for all British multiroles/ground attackers, you’ve a blighted grind and for this you are rewarded with the opportunity to do sod all to ground targets.

Also taurus would be nice.

Asking for a new pod is wild when the ef already has the best tpod in the game by far lol, but the rest of the stuff I agree with

Sniper is more effective unless things have changed recently. At least if you’re trying to do anything at vaguely longer ranges.

Its less about needing one that is “better” and more about one that is just different. Even if the upgrade ends up being rather small. It all stacks up to make the airframe actually feel like a meaningfully different airframe

There is a debate to be had that Sniper has too much zoom most of the time.
