You can always hover your mouse cursor on top of both scores to try to understand why you get less while apparently doing better. The other player could be using a lower BR vehicle and killing higher BR vehicles, or could be taking more damage, doing more damage for getting a kill and the death also gives you score.
This game doesn’t reward you in terms of score for one shooting enemies, surviving, not getting shot, etc…
