With the addition of NEW IRCM helicopters and the even more fire n forget spam.
More ammoboxes for the EldE 98 would be nice?
Most multivehicle sams get 32 missiles total
and most standalone sams get 16-24 missiles total
EldE 98 just gets 8 total!
if the EldE mobility can’t be fixed in the near future.
some more ammo for the EldE 98 cult would be appreciated.
We love the goofy vehicle
but the ammo count is its greatest shortcoming.
WHICH could be a simple change that doesn’t require fundamentally changing the vehicle.
I don’t want it to be a lower BR
I don’t it to be labeled useless
I just want it to be able to stand beside its brothers and lob missiles at incoming threats.
It’s not as bad as you might think. Sure there are issues with it that need fixing, absolutely, but in terms of k/d it’s currently #3 ( for august, if you look at stats since introduction it’s #2 ) of ALL rank 8 ground vehicles in the game. It’s doing better than all other top tier SPAA (except the IRIS-T SLM). Though the newest systems stats aren’t out yet so it will be interesting to see how it changes there.

I mean I find more success playing the ITO than the EldE 98.
In the ITO you can intercept munitions reliably, you can destroy the new IRCM Helis and the VT-1 is fast.
One advantage of the EldE 98 is that it’s pretty small and hard to spot.
Plus I think the EldE 98 stats may be a bit bloated from feeding off recon drones, i think they show up in the results as an air kill.
From the current SPAA ranking and experience I’d say
IRIS-T >>> Pantsir > CS5 >> Elde > Other SPAA (Radar & Saclos) >> Older SPAA >> BUK M3
The kill rates aren’t accurate, as there are drones and such in the midst.
Performance of the IRIS-T SLS missile is okay for the EldE 98.
I just need more missiles
and capture points are often unavailable or risky to sit on.
The EldE 98 is like a bottom feeder, waiting for targets to be way too close.
not all, EldE 98’s missile can hit drones 500m away
so even a drone that’s pretty close is within grabs.
(closer than 500m the radar loses lock)
Tan-Sam Kai usually needs line of sight with the target to launch reliably on something close up.
Spyder struggles to hit stuff upclose
EldE 98 has a much easier time downing close drones.
