MiG-21 “Nile Valley” Camo

I’d like to suggest the addition of an Egyptian “Nile Valley” camouflage scheme for the MiG-21 series, starting for the MiG-21PFM and MiG-21MF. This three-tone camouflage features olive green, sand, and dark green, applied in smooth, flowing stripes. It came in multiple variations, but the key colors remained plus minus the same.

The Egyptian Air Force introduced camouflage paint schemes on its jets as a cost-effective way to protect the aircraft from Israeli air incursions. These patterns replaced the standard silver finish, which had earned the MiG-21 the nickname ‘Fishbed’, since the bright metal surface made the aircraft highly visible from long distances.

In War Thunder, Egyptian camouflage options have already been implemented for the MiG-17, Su-7, and MiG-21F-13. However, the MiG-21PFM and MiG-21MF, both of which served actively in Egypt’s air force, during the period, are still missing these historically significant camouflage schemes. I’m submitting this suggestion to help fill that gap and enhance both realism and Egyptian representation in the game.

The MiG-21 is not the only aircraft with the Nile Valley scheme. Egyptian MiG-17F’s/Lim-5’s (Egypt operated Soviet and Polish built MiG-17’s) had this colour scheme

If anybody is wondering, yes Egypt did modify their MiG-17’s/Lim-5’s for ground attack roles with Sakr (license built Oerlikon/Hispano rockets) and some domestic bombs some (50kg, 60kg or 100kg) under the fuselage. On top of the existing secondary ordinances of the normal MiG-17/Lim-5 I’m considering making a proper suggestion i just have to decide to represent this as a MiG-17 or a Lim-5

Yup. However, the MiG-17 and MiG-21F-13 in the USSR tree already have purchasable Egyptian camouflages, while the MiG-21MF and MiG-21PFM are still missing their respective Egyptian camos.
