Do you think it will have IRCM capability? That would be incredible with all those damn IR missiles but knowing Gaijin with the French, I have a feeling the vehicle will be botched.

Edit : according to mulatu, it’s only Galix that deploys smokes in case of missiles detection or LWS alert…, so it’s not really what you expect.

I also suspect that we don’t have an IRCM system specific to the vehicle and I hate using an AI for research but currently, there are mentions of IR/radio jammers, so I don’t know how it will happen, I pray that they put it in.

The radio Jammer is called Barrage and is for IEDs
There’s no active IRCM on Jaguar AFAIK, if there was, we would see it stick somewhere on the turret. The only thing on the turret are Antares (LWS), Pilar V (acoustic detector), the missile launchers, the 7.62, and then a bunch of optics
Yep. A IR emitter or even laser would be easily spottable. Antares is a bunch of cameras for early warning detection, Pilar is a bunch of microphones, and barrage is an antenna for radiowave jamming… Then garlic used mutispectral and anti MMW technologies in its smokes.

And the armor doesn’t really look STANAG 4 or 5 for the turret… unless everything’s done by the Spall liners but…

Everything is structural steel. That’s obviously very wrong, it should be UHH rolled steel (as found on VBCI) with a better KE coefficient than RHA.
Structural steel also happens to be worse than RHA

Struggling to find sources saying that the Jaguar has an additional 2 missiles in the turret to make a bug report. All I found up until now is these pictures from a Nexter event
“2 missiles prets au tir, 2 missiles supplementaires”, meaning two missiles ready to fire, and 2 extra missiles
If you guys have any more sources I’d really appreciate it
In the sources of the suggestion mentioned in the OP, the MBDA brochure mentions the fact that the turret can accomodate several missiles. The sentence is a bit twisted, difficult to say if the Jaguar turret is included as well.
An other source (Jean Marc Tanguy, IDK if he’s reliable or not)
Basically it was supposed to have side ATGMs, but it would have caused issues for train transportation, so they went with the retractable launcher + 2 ammo in a case somewhere.
So this confirms 2 ready to fire + 2 in storage
