Ok, then this makes some sense. But personaly i dont get it… Imo it should be at light tanks branch but if it has argumentation why it is in tank destruyers branch i cant complein too much ┐('~`;)┌

Is it actually correct that it only has 2 missiles?

No, and a report has been accepted about it.

The CTA40 gun appears to be underperforming. It should be 140mm at 1500m.

Hello peeps, hope you guys can support this thread, it is not a thread meant to replace Vizender’s dev-server thread for the EBRC Jaguar but instead to show support for features of the Jaguar that would make it stand out in terms of its quality.

The EBRC Jaguar should come with new features modeled (MULTIPLE POLLS) - Dev Server “Spearhead” / General Discussion - Dev Server - War Thunder — official forum

76mm is the thickness of the plate. At 60° you end up with 152mm of line of sight penetration

I am not arguing about the validity of the figure, but Gaijin seems to have chosen, AFAIK, the highest available penetration value.

APFSDS estimates range from >140mm (CTA international) to 192mm (both at 60°, 1500m)

Here’s a diagram made by CTA international :

I don’t know if that diagram was produced before or after the munition was lenghtened though

Either way its suppose to be more then what it has now

Do you have any source for the 190 mm at 1500m ? Because so far i have only seen the more than 140 at 1500m which in game already archives

does’nt the 140mm at 1500m is at 60° ?

140mm LOS, which is 70 at 60°, his own image shows a 150mm los, in game it pens 164 LOS at 60°

In game it pens 152 LOS at 60° though ? not 164

Regarding the 190, no we don’t have sources

Basically a test done in the US specified the length of the rod and round. Using Lenz-Odermat you arrive at ~160-170mm (i assume that’s what Gaijin used, since they like to use this formula for their rounds)

However during the test in the US (1990s) the total length of the round was 219mm with a weight of 440g
Since then the round has been increased form 219mm length to 255mm and the weight went up from 440g to 550g, which is where the ~190mm comes from.

Little chance the round gets buffed, but tbh 160 is already not too bad

Yes, i miss read it with the 1000m values, still 152 is over the 140 mark

My screenshot shows a 150mm pen though ?

And in game is 152, so it does match it

Doesn’t mean it can’t do better

But i agree that with the sources we have, there’s little chance it gets buffed

Doesnt mean that it can do 190 mm either, and the +140mm is still the reference value for the longer 255mm case

All there is to it is :
Lenz-Odermat gives 160-170 for the 165mm long rod (219mm for total length of the round)

The round’s length was increased by 36mm since then

I let you do the maths. I’m fine with 160 though, it can shred through a lot already quite easily.

Hopefully they fix the 2 missing Akerons though, that one is annoying
