Russian RWR (especially on the SU-25SM3) allows it to have a better time evading incoming missiles and not to mention the MAWS installed on it, the SU-25SM3 has the best situational awareness of any fixed-wing aircraft in-game.

A f16 can work over hostile airspace much better than the su25. Su25 only dominates when uncontested.

Because they aren’t very bright, the USSR have one of the worst win rates at top tier if I recall and that’s because most USSR players lack more than 3 functional braincells - the average top tier German however (besides premium warriors) are usually skilful.
Well if you force to stuck with a single armored leopard ugly ass SPAA that can only hold two missile that the same time unreliable helicopters non exist CAS (Tornado can’t throw GBU from 15KM like they used to) and stuck with a god damn F4 phantoms at toptier fighting MiG29 SU-27 and F-15C
No surprise really force them to be better

- The Tor M1 is horrendous, it’s too reliant on radar, its IRST is non-functional and it’s missile blows smoke everywhere: it’s basically impossible not to see it coming and take evasive action. “But muh datalink”, comically useless unless you’re facing straight flying planes in lemming formation
- The JH-7A isn’t anything beyond the scope of BluFor unless your playing Japan, Kh-29Ts share similar range and function to AGM-65 Mavericks, is matched if not surpassed by the Tornado GR.1s PGMs and cannot perform AMRAAM multirole like the F-16C
- Z-10/19 are essentially Chinas top tier anti-air. Z-10 carries better Hellfires with 9.2km range but still has all of the problems of Hellfires like a bush acting as advanced IRCM, the only solid thing about them is TY-90s for self defence and I’d argue the AH-1Z Viper can defend itself just as well with longer range, smokeless motor AIM-9Ms, an actual gun (the Z-10 has a beanbag launcher) and functional RWR. Nothing even gets close to the Ka-52/Mi-28NM it’s the one thing I’d agree with but PARS/Spikes, while giving very mixed results, have their uses.
The Pantsir and Su-25SM3 (just the Kh-38s really) are egregious cheese, but the Su-25 isn’t unbeatable, top tier now requires you to have top tier jets to chase these things down, they can’t really fight back against dedicated fighters and can’t do anything against BVR missiles apart from chaff/notch/prayer.
There aren’t a lot of NATO contemporaries to the Pantsir due to SHORAD doctrine, there’s SLAMRAAM and whatever the land based IRIS-T platform is called but idk if they’d be as good since they’re A2A missiles launched from SL at a standstill and are not SACLOS (you’re going to get trolled by Helicopters like the TAN SAM/Ozelot).

Problem with that is spawning a jet to counter Russian CAS requires more SP aswell as more work with the other team having a shorad.

Countries like china are actively developing new self propelled anti air vehicles, while US develops towed anti air.
Well there is a luxury in Towed AA systems 1 system breaks down you replace it. You have redundancy with multiple launchers. Most SEAD weapons will target radar rather than the launchers. You are able to have more weight and space to use on your systems.
AIO Systems are great in the fact you can roll them up and have an AA defense set up in a matter of minutes.
The West does have SPAA for short range air defense. M-SHORAD, Linebacker, Avenger system. But looking at most applications MANPADS are preferred means of forward Air Defense.
These are vastly superior to any SPAA in game, including Panstir.
Especially SLAMRAAM.
Stryker MSL would be balanced. A spaa with just 2 AIM-9X isnt superior than Pantsir
