Today I will make B the most important point on the map because it’s literally just spawn control. This is a problem on quite a lot of maps but this is one of the most egregious. If you lose because you didn’t fight for B, it’s literally just your own fault. Don’t be surprised when you don’t fight for B, get restricted to bottom spawn, and then lose A/C because you’re getting spawn camped from top spawn sightlines. Genuinely how is this acceptable.
eastern Europe big version is fine, especially at top tier
Small version is huh… filled with spots to abuse let’s say
The north is a spawn camping fest for whoever gets to hold the little village up north.
The south, well if someone manages to get to F7 from the west spawn you can pretty much cut off any reinforcement going to A and C.
As for the town it will either crumble because one team yolo rushes the other without opposition (looking at you BMPT) or it will stall and its fate will be decided by what is going on on the hills around (refer to above)
I am somehow the only person on my team who understands the importance of B when I’m playing “8.3” (it’s a full uptier literally 100% of the time so it’s a 9.3 game) and, unsurprisingly, I can’t fight for it alone. I’ll get maybe 2 kills and then a light tank that slipped by while I was dealing with the 2 guys I killed just kills me.
In my past 2 games alone, I get 2 kills in the conqueror and then am immediately relegated to spawn (and then killed again) because something slipped by and I am the ONLY person spawning top spawn. It’s frustrating every single time. I have lost enough games on this map to understand the importance of B and somehow that understanding has not reached all of the other people who have also lost to losing B and getting spawn camped?
I get that and I feel you, but at the same time please first spawn top spawn so your team doesn’t lose immediately, and pray to whatever thing has power that you have more than just you on your team that knows the importance of B.
False, naturally the most importants capture zones are C for blue team and A for red team in terms of how much they can loss in ground, B is purely a filler whoever holds it for most time will have higher chances to win. The geography and architecture in this map allows you to go around spearheads spawn camping if enough space is available to do so.
Eastern Europe and its variations also including European Province are one of the few maps that is flexible enough for most battle rating because no wonder tanks will best perform in open and large spaces. Maps that truly have to go from most rotation specially high tiers in my opinion are:
North Holland
Finland
Advance to the Rhine
Ardennes
Middle east
Notice each map scale, this and others not mentioned are examples of map that should go away from a tank-to-tank combat game, or somewhat around those lines (ground vehicle-to-ground vehicle combat if this fits better).
All of these maps suck regardless of BR. Rhine especially is egregious for quite literally every game devolving into spawncamping where people are ramming you just to make your spawn protection wear off faster.
spawn mechanics need work but rhine is inherently just a really awful layout. It’s cramped and way too chokepointy for most of it, with the points being the only acceptable part of the map, but good luck getting to them after your first spawn if you’re losing.
