Currently the only option that we have if we want to ease up gameplay only exist on the RP side with talisman, but the SL cost is still a pain in the rump with how sometimes the earning just got eaten up by repair cost. And sometimes we find a vehicle that speaks to our heart, but the repair cost are just not it. and many times we are forced to play premium to top off the SL because the repair cost is too goddamn much sometimes, making the game progressively less enjoyable.
To fix this issue we can add another type of permanent booster. How it works:
If Talisman increases RP earning from a vehicle to equalize it to a premium, then Treemium will instead increase the specific vehicle SL earning while slashing the repair cost to match that of a premium. This feature will exist as a purchasable option right beside the Talisman button.
Purchasing this “upgrade” will add SL boost icon to the vehicle as seen in the premium vehicle which added golden 2X symbol on the vehicle SL multiplier. The symbol can have it’s colour changed to say, red or pale gold to reflect that it’s not a “true premium”.
There will be no changes in rank efficiency if you have this and talisman together, as the true aim for this purchaseable upgrade is to allow us to play the vehicle we’re good at as SL grinder instead of having to switch mastery. and seeing that it still feeds money to Gaijoob, I think it’s fair that this feature be added to the game, whether as standalone feature or as an additive component to talisman.
We seriously need this, especially in ASB where flying lend-lease/copy-paste feels wrong and annoys friendlies/enemies. Unfortunately, copy-paste/lend-lease is most of the WW2 rank 3 premiums for redfor making things awkward (P47 for you! P47 for you! P47 for everyone!)
I’ll likely get a soviet p-63a5 next sale and I’d much rather be getting a soviet yak-3 or german bf109F4 instead, but I cannot.
I’d also finally get my long-wished for american f4u-4 as premium.
I’d just add an SL Talisman. Same cost as an RP talisman and purchased independently. But leave the repair cost reduction as an exclusive feature for premium vehicles.
Would love to be able to turn something like the Tornado Gr4 into a power house SL grinder.
But whilst it would.certainly deal with gaps in the premium lineup for nations, I can also see them not wanting to give certain aircraft a premium option
A lot of planes are already there as premiums though, just in the wrong tech tree (at least for props). It’d make no difference other than let you not feel wrong flying that plane.
I chronically make profit in my tech tree vehicles.
Currently sitting around 48,000,000 SL almost exclusively using tech tree vehicles unless playing with friends.
Especially without lobby-shopping (stay in the lobby until you genuinely need to leave or it ends, don’t leave because enemy team can actually endanger you) and playing in competetive lobbies.
No premium I made profit playing 5.0 ground RB. I know cause I was at 2 mil SL on a non-premium account in 2016, which is my newest screenshot before I got premium account around November 2018.
Play it without lobby shopping (you can shop for harder lobbies, not easier ones though. Harder is defined as “has more players and they’re flying fighters.”)
I don’t think it’s too greedy to simply ask that an SL component be added to TT vehicles. I’m an advocate for any feature that allows players to get more out of their favourite vehicles, and playstyle.
Like me, I imagine there are many players who have already hit the limit on premium vehicles they intend to buy. Silver lion components to talismans would add something for me to buy. Seeing as the game is always changing with new vehicles, features and metas, any vehicle has the potential to become relevant.
Another issue is that ‘RP only’ talismans become useless as players fill out their tech trees due to rank efficiency, SL component makes any tank valuable at any Rank/BR.
It would be nice if the Talisman upgrade also unlocked the ‘Mark of excellence’ feature for tech tree vehicles allowing them to have to access to all four decal slots.
Finally, I think this pushing it, but an additional option for this new style of talisman, would be to make GE camos unlockable with kills, like normal camo.

When ever I think about suggestions and game discussions, I’ve come to realise that we understand so little about the developers goals and needs that it’s basically impossible to come up with a business case to support suggestions
The USA captured Bf-109F4 costs 1450GE, and a talisman for the TT Bf-109F4 is 980GE, if the SL talismans are made real then the total cost might just be higher than buying a premium of the same rank?
