Earn the Churchill AVRE in the Operation Overlord Event!

Event vehicles can be anywhere from rank I to VII, and BR 1.0 to 11.7+

For one stage, the minimum score is 35k, maximum is 45k

In other words, we have a huge variation in tier and BR, and yet it is only expressed by a score difference of 10 000.

So this rank II vehicle is:

2/7 = 0.2857 ≈ 29% of maximum tier

35000/45000 = 0.7777 ≈ 78% of maximum score

I’m not suggesting that you make score fully proportional to tier, but this is too much in the wrong direction.

The difference between min and max should be greater!

(Also, no curling of monkey’s paw thank you)

I have lost all hope of ever getting a reasonable event vehicle grind again. I don’t have the time to grind 35k score every 2 days. It’s an unreasonably large amount for tank that can’t even participate in daily or BP tasks.

I know Gaijin won’t change it, they never will make an event easier to do.

I’m just disappointed that this is what is happening.

month of nothing after this one, then a naval event
was mentioned in the ‘behind the scenes’ article of a couple days ago

I dont know what that has to do with anything. The matter of the fact is that the British thought exposed loading on a combat vehicle was respectable to place on an active battlefield.

because it was very effective and it didnt sit around under fire reloading. you drove up, fired, destroyed defense and infantry advanced safely while you drove off.

All I can say is that, I hope the awkard reloading gets modeled in-game

It won’t just like every other awkward reload in game isn’t shown.

you seem pretty defensive

Stating facts. Does the Sturmtiger have the crew get out, activate the winch and load the huge projectile while under fire? Do atgm without autoloader have the crew get out and climb on top to reload the tube or reload rockets on the empty rails? Does the co. Made get out of the tank to fire the roof mounted machine guns on ww2 tanks or reload them while under fire?

Just pretty odd, im not comparing the churchuill AVRE to anyone perticualer combat vehicle, pretty wierd we cant agree that the reload method is ridiculous and misplaced out of anywhere else than on a shot gun, not to mention outdated even by late 19 century artillery standarts. But i guess for a mortar, its pretty wild to load it from anywhere else than the muzzel.

Mortars are loaded from the front, some atgm and rockets are front loaded, the srurmtiger in ww2 was front loaded etc. The petard was a war to get heady anti fortification weapons to the front at a time no one else on dday had with the same potency or protection. It’s not designed to face of with tanks but to help infantry break through. In that roll it was very successful.

Reguarding the earlier comment on reloading have you seen the reload process by chance? It’s about 10 seconds and only briefly exposes the hands of the loader. Unlike those other vehicles I mentioned that required the crew get out and climb the vehicle to load.

I would like to see your source on the comment that the sturmmöser was somehow muzzle loaded?

Its also different to reload outside the fighting compartment of a vehicle whent the range is longer than a stones throw.

Oh I guess the germans are just gonna stop shooting when the gents are loading their “guns” huh? I mean its not like when the AVRE assualted fortified positions, from 10 meters away, that these positions would be firing back?

What even is this arguement?

Forget the part I already said they drive in fire and leave. They don’t reload under fire in real life but even if they did it would be safer then many of the vehicles already in game.

I dont know, the other guys seems offended about me joking about the way teh AVRE is loaded exposed by hand.

He thinks the petard mortar reload makes it no better then using a flint lock in ww2
