You asked the same question in the suggestion thread, and this same answer was given - there are videos of the system with the turret fully rotated 180°
Eh it’s been a while besides isn’t there like a multi vehicle Crotale system also? Or something similar like a smaller truck mounted with the Crotale? That would be neat also alongside this
It was also mounted on a weird Renault truck.
Found the one I was thinking about

Ngl I dig the hell out of this, ZA also has them which is cool
Canada isn’t set as a dedicated sub tree to any nation yet, So by your logic the Italians shouldn’t have any of the Hungarian vehicles they didn’t have anything to do with.
The US received a lot of vehicles from the British during the lend-lease program, Which is still overwhelmingly under represented ingame for the US.
Where’s the Fireflies the Americans used in Italy?
Literally the ones who designed and built it.
Germany has the Class 3P despite not using it.
The Brits have the VFM5, A clone of the CCVL, despite it literally being designed to be exported only, On top of that its a tech tree tank, While the CCVL in the US tree is event/pay walled.
The prototype of a prototype that the Brits didn’t even intend on using gets to be a tech tree while the nation that did the majority of the work designing doesn’t get theirs for free, Oh but its so bad the Americans got a copy of a vehicle they designed and built, How horrible, So unfair.
Added prior to ZA sub tree as it was German developed.
It’s more the fact that both USA and Japan should’ve had distinct versions. I’m not seething over the fact the stingray is in the USA tree but slightly disappointed it wasn’t a different variant.
Issue isn’t that they have it, it’s that it’s the Thai specific versions which had quite a few small adjustments compared to the intended production model (which was the standard of the second prototype).
But despite being a Thai specific vehicle, it has the US flag in game, unlike the Finnish ITO or Norwegian NASAMS in the French and American techtrees respectively. The Thai version also gets the roundel in front of the name, as if it’s the copy and not the other way around, which again is just wrong.
Either the one in the US techtree should get the Thai flag and the name should be changed to have the roundel (US star in this case) instead of the Thai version, or they should remodel it into an actual American Stingray, which would be either one of the Cadillac Gage owned prototypes.
Mate, would you prefer getting nothing for 4 updates? Or get at least 2 copy-and-paste within that time frame? Before finally getting 5 new Grund vehicles, not C&P. Which, from my understanding, still costs around 10 grand for them to produce.
Also, what a company is worth does not mean what a company actually has as its annual budget.
What are the missiles on that?
Crotale missiles
The ones we have in game are Crotale NG
Hungary is official subtree tho.
Think i should have worded that better but the point still stands.
Hungary isn’t Italy, Italy didn’t have any involvement with those vehicles.
But no one is going to bat an eye that they are in the Italian tree.
Yet, If one day Gaijin where to decide to say Canada is a sub tree of the US, Based on how much whining there is over them having a couple Canadian vehicles, We all know what kind of a reaction that would stir in the forums here.
According to the forums here:
Random nations being thrown together to fill out tech trees is OK, But not if it ends up in the US tree.
Major nations like the Brits getting 3 sub nations (Australia, South Africa, India) and Germans getting 2 (Argentina, Switzerland) is OK, But good luck arguing giving the US one.
(No South Korea, Despite having a deeper connection to each-other than Germany/Argentina).
Imports of things that where only purchased in small numbers or even just tests is OK, Just not if its to the US tree.
Its just interesting how much of a double standard there is.
For some reason its the one and only tech tree where its a problem when they get something that has even the slightest involvement with another country, They MUST share, But NEVER receive, Or else there is endless whining.
Yes, Canada isn’t set as a dedicated subtree to any nation yet.
The problem is, Yanks never have a direct connection to the Skink project.
They didn’t have any interest in these; they funded zero; turrets are Canadian design, guns are Polsten. Pol+S+T+En(Poland, Shepard, Turpin, and Enfield)
Yes, those are planned to be mounted on Grizzly iirc, and Grizzly is Canadian license-built Shermans.
That is why you are counterarguing him about Skink, no?
But Marksman turret systems are British design by Marconi, right?
Then what? Would you claim the ItPsv 90 is a Soviet Vehicle because it is mounted on a Finnish T-55AM, or that the ItPsv Leopard or Leopard 40/70 are German vehicles because those are based on Leopard?
Do you know how absurd that claiming Skink is American Vehicle, right?
No, Hungary is an official sub-tree of Italy. Unlike the Canadian case.
False equivalence.
I am fine to see that if you lads stop gatekeeping bloody Merlin Mustangs or 76mm Shermans in the name of ‘Tech Tree Uniqueness’ or ‘C&P is bad’
If you want British equipment used by American forces, just like the Spitfire LF Mk.IX(US)?
Go on, ask Gaijin to give it; I am perfectly fine with letting you blokes have it. If US mains didn’t constantly try to gatekeep these.
Well, what if Canada became an official subtree of the US? I maybe dislike that decision since I reckon we have more historical ties compared to you lads.
Still, if Gaijin officially decided to do that? congrats. I don’t see why I need to gatekeep the addition of Canadian vehicles if it really happens.
Canadian vehicles heading to the USA? It makes sense if Canada is an official sub-tree of the US.
Technically speaking, the Grizzly hull was just a stopgap. A hull in the Sherman family that Canada had spare. It was a Canadian & British funded project to use their old (turreted) vehicle of the Sherman family
The Skink starts and ends at the turret. By the end of its production run, 8 conversion kits and 3 complete vehicles were built; these were only on Grizzlys, as that’s what Canada had decided to use, but if Grizzlys ran out or the UK started getting kits themselves, it would have ended up on other Sherman hulls.
But either way, the US was offered to take part in the Skink project; it rejected it without testing. So even if the Skink’s production line wasn’t cut short, it’s unlikely the US would have ever used any Skink variant.
I know for a fact that, due to a number of issues(both current and historical), Canadian’s would be louder than the French about BeNeLux and Switzerland if that happened.
But also, the closer ties to the UK are real, as even in the early Cold War, if Canada wasn’t building designs of other nations itself(like the US ones), it came from the UK. In relation to this thread, Canada in the US is UK C&P until at least 8.0; unlike Canada in the UK, as the UK already used most of Canada’s C&P.
I would gladly give up the Skink from the US tree if all US tanks were removed from all other trees, even if those nations used those vehicles.
That’s not how that works lmao. Skink never should of been added to USA same with stingray
“I would actively worsen my gaming experience so long as the gaming experience of everyone else is worsened even more”
Aight
There’s a big difference between the two…
Typical US main
