I don’t really see the appeal in playing Germany for someone who doesn’t appreciate different Leopard 2 variants. It’s so common in that techtree, when someone like this really only seems to want one.
Maybe that’s the issue, the regret that they only wanted to play Germany for one “generic Leopard 2” but now they are presented with a new way to get that that seems easier.

Yes, there are 8 unique vehicles, & 4 copy-paste.
Greece sub-tree has a total of 9 unique vehicles now.

i dont care about the Leopards but i still have played Germany until 9.7 and have done the 100% of the ranks 1-4 and still wanting to go 10.0 to get the RAD and the Leopard 2K, because Germany isnt just the Leopards in top tier, all the Panzers, Panthers, Tigers the Stugs, Belipanzer, KPz-70 and so many make germany one of the best if not the best ground TT for me. So myself that i do not appreciate different Leopard 2 variants (as long as they are not Greek or cool 140mm prototypes) i see the appeal in playing Germany as its one of the best ground TTs.

See here’s what I think the issue is. Gajin and their modeling someone obviously expects Germany to have the best and most leopards and to continue to get more while that’s just not the case as in game the swedes have the best and iirc the most

Exactly, more often than not, I’ve started a new tree for anything but the “poster MBT”. And when I do go for a poster vehicle, it’s often for an operator other than the maker, as I want the operator nation more than the vehicle itself.

Pretty sure it’s tied with Sweden unless you include premium/event vehicles in your count
Germany have more including premiums but less tech tree leopard and thats not including the 2K as that’s a earlier prototype for the leopard 2. 🤷♀️Tied if you include that as well

Btw theres more (or equal) challenger 2s in the game then leopards in any 1 nation. Sooooooo 🤷♀️ don’t add anymore challenges as well “it still is just another challenger”

Fair enough, this is something I do understand. But then the issue isn’t really the exports but instead Gaijin refusing to add the many interesting and more advanced Leopard 2 variants Germany could have. They don’t even remotely lack options to add, they just don’t get them for some reason.
But complaining about a Greek specific export variant added to Greece isn’t that.

The gap between from 10.7 to 12.7 without any line ups still blows me away
I have no issue with most exports it’s when nations get them when it’s not needed or when they could add domestic options
Nope there’s about a million varients for them to add that could all be unique or interesting in a way like 2a4 with trophy (I forgot it’s name because it’s stupid asf…) or something like the German revolution or technologies for some examples

Bruh, really? You want to compare the Challenger to the Leopard 2? I think you’ve kinda missed the point here, the Challengers can’t be considered copy paste, since they are exclusive to the British tech tree, no other tech tree in war thunder has a Challenger (at least for now) meanwhile, Germany, Italy, France, Japan, Sweden and now Israel, are all going to have a Leo 2 :) a total of 6 TT.
Israel wasn’t in need of a leopard 2, there were other domestic options that could be added in it’s place, and this is definitely a strategy that gaijin is doing to not fix the armor of the Merkava’s and other tanks that are based on the Merkava

Gaijin should’ve focused on adding the Original israeli vehicles first then moved on to adding a sub tree, since we’re still missing some very relevant domestic Israeli vehicles.

Guys, guys, this Leopard 2 is unique because it has the flux capacitor air-conditioning unit while the other has the matter accelerator seat warmers.
