How would a kamikaze drone be worse than the current drones?
Many of them are of a very similar size. They would move super slow into battle. They wouldnt be able to camp behind mountains like the current drones and they would only really get you one kill if used properly.
Their counter could be all the current spaa’s + every machine gun because they must get so close.
I just dont understand how you could possibly get more OP than the current free drone everyone gets unless everyone got a free F-15E or Su-34.

Even the tiny recondrones are hard to shoot down, and the attackdrones can be countered with SPAA.

The current CAS spam and drones already ruins the gameplay of ground vehicles, let’s make the situation even worse by adding EVEN more variants of attack drones.

If they’re in the heli tree then its no different from helicopters and locks them into a BR range unlike now where they’re spread through multiple BR ranges. In the tech tree they would also have a higher SP cost.
A kamikaze drone can be countered with spaa too as well as tank machine guns unlike the current long range drones. There’s far more counterplay to a kamikaze drone then there is to a long range drone.
There are larger kamikaze drones too that are nearly the same size as an mq1 so size doesnt have to be an issue.
We can do a test in custom battle, I will use a scout drone and dive on your tank, we do it 10 times in a row and see if how many times your 50cal hit the drone to stop it from diving on your tank.

Sorry bro, I had to do this, why do players who constantly suggest that we need even more air power 99% of the times have a record that shows that they have zero interest in playing ground vehicles in ground battles?? Are you people play ground battles just to use air units to harass targets that has no means of fighting back? I got really irritated at this point, ground battles but everybody are encouraged to fly?

The scout drone in game is far smaller than the kamikaze drones i would say to add.
One of the biggest issues in this forum is people take things so personally up to a point of literally destroying their own lives.

Drones have no f-king place in ground battles, even I would suggest the removal of scout drone! they just ruins the gameplay of ground vehicles, you know a proper squad team can have one or two light tank sit at their spawn and turns the realistic battle into an arcade by revealing all the enemies position which completely break stealth?
Also please answer me, can you shoot down scout drone with your top-mounted mg? highlighting your stat card just to show that you have no interest in playing ground vehicles in ground battles, anyone who even shows a tiny bit of interest wouldn’t have that horrible ass KDR like that, this numbers only achievable by holding W to the objective point then gets blown up, get a cap or a kill assist then spawn an air unit, which means you only play ground battle with the only intention to fly your plane in it bro and cannot wait to lose the ground vehicles that you have zero interest playing lmao

Hahahaha did i claim to be an amazing ground player? No. Half the reason im posting this is to reduce the CAS effectiveness cause im always getting hit by some ATG missile near my spawn.
Dude America is my first ground nation. I barely can do well enough to get enough spawn points to get into a plane. But say what you want about my kdr, i sure af don’t one death leave. I make sure i have somewhat of a lineup since you’ve turned this conversation into an attack on me.
If you add even more variants of drone, you will start dying even more to things that your tank has no counter bro, if anyone shows a little bit of interest in playing ground vehicles, they wouldn’t want any more addition of flying stuffs lmao bro even Gepard has issues shooting down scout drones, only vehicles with HEVT can do it and there ain’t many of them.
No I am not attacking, engrish is my 6th language and the tone of text doesn’t represent the actual tone of my voice behind the screen, I just highlight the real problem a ground main face when playing ground battle, currently there is a death timer put upon us to force us to abandon our tank to use SPAA or CAP in order to continue the match or we wanna win, most matches has turn into focus on the planes, how do I even enjoy playing tanks this way right?

Im not disagreeing with any of that necessarily.
Its very rare that Gaijin actually removes a mechanic so this post was only to alter that mechanic so that it requires more work for those without air researched to actually perform CAS.
Like they would have to spawn in a drone and actually take the time to fly into the battle rather than camp behind a mountain and lob hellfires at a spawn point.
The scout drone is very small and the kamikaze drones i was looking up had some rather large variants that wouldnt be as maneuverable as our scout drone.
It was just an idea. Not an idea im willing to die on the hill of. Just a different idea.
Researchable drones are probably inevitable though. Gaijin needs to add that new shiny.
