Flat is justice.
What is this?
The iriaf f14 was the biggest winner in the air decompression. Wouldn’t be surprised if it saw a bump up to 13.3.
It’s definitely the easiest way to farm score.
Climb, fire, wait for a few “dings”, use r27s if not dead, use aim9s if not dead
Nothing more satisfying than seeing all 4 fakours hit
Aren’t those fakours Messerschmitts?? 🤣🤓
Good question :) For several years now, the issue of strange objects in the sky, known as UFOs, has been taken increasingly seriously — even among politicians and government officials. Because of this, pilots are slowly breaking their silence. And this frame is a controlled leak from a U.S. pilot’s recording.
That is correct - the following session (20/24, 83% WR) was even more cursed as the day you described - if your teams are on average way too good you might get a high WR but your chances to score are limited by short match duration and less targets available.
I had at least 8 games with little (like 50-300) to zero mission score as bases were taken out by friendly strike aircraft and the enemy team refused to climb - or i played on Pacific maps without any bases and way less targets due to small lobbies 😂
Sry for late reply, was saved as draft.
Congrats!
My example was aimed to show an option (or alternative way) to get an almost guaranteed baseline score without too much efforts and no special skill requirements, almost no plane losses and without becoming exhausted. The downside of playing like that is (ofc) the necessity to invest more time.
When i see vids like this:
Everybody should decide for himself it the prize is worth the effort…
Have a good one!
I completely agree, just from some short test flights, this thing is nowhere near a 5.7 BR(AB tests).
It has the typical “floppy” flight model a great many US fighters have and just won’t be anything
but frustrating to fly.
I mean it is cool looking/iconic and all that, but just not very useful really. And at 5.7, it’s just a flying turd/low hanging fruit and an easy kill for just about everything.
I also agree 4.3, maybe 4.7(I doubt it can hang there really) but most likely, in it’s current configuration, it MIGHT do ok at 4.0. Again, this is AB . . not sure how it performs in a RB fm.
Imma still going to get it, just to have, as I collect vehicles(bad habit I developed early on . . .lol)
Unfortunately, i’ll be occupied the next few days so i won’t be able to complete the event.
Sadge :(
At least I tried.
On the bright side tho, yesterday i spaded the F4U-4, goated plane, that was actually quite fun.
They should at least give it the 4 20mm cannon option, 50cals require a lot of time on target which this thing wont get with its wobbly nose and insane speed bleed
Hmh - imho gaijin has deliberately decided to implement weaker engines (just check the suggestion) as they did not want to challenge the 3 Yaks at 5.7 (RB).
I mean with 800 kmph in a straight line and the the whole air frame producing lift i had some hopes that the flight performance would be good enough to contest these USSR props. But as usual - hope is often just a delayed disappointment.
Regarding the guns:
The ability to score a kill is Imho not related to the armament - if you are unable to bring guns on target, guns or their caliber play no role. 4 x 20 mm just produces low skill head-on orgies without improving the flight characteristics.
From my perspective the plane will either end as Hangar Queen or get dragged into 4.3 - 4.7 BRs (Air RB) without giving the average US player a tool to challenge the average USSR player at the imho critical 5.7 BR. The only US plane able to kill reliably a Yak-3U of VK 107 at the same BR is just the P-59A.
Social media has lead to a spread of curiosity - and while politicians may take it seriously if there’s votes in it, as a 50 yr aviation professional (Airlines, maintenance organisations, national aviation authority, mechanic, auditor, planner, data analyst) I can assure you only a vanishingly small number of real aviators do so.
The credibility of UFO’s as something extra terrestrial is right up there with the credibility of chemtrails.
Are there secret projects or objects that are not identified - sure. Shrug - so what?
Biggest issue with event grind is sim BR rotations.
2.7-3.7, 4.0-5.0, 5.3-6.3 is a terrible BR match up for the last 2 days @.@
My 80 minute performance on a 4.3-5.3 day:
My 40 minute performance on a 4.0-5.0 day where I decided to join my teammates and just leave:
Thank god you only need 6/7 and not 7/7 because I really hate today’s prop tier BR brackets @.@
Well i failed both marks of merit, so no xf5u for me, but after trying it out in test drive and looking up stat shark, i subscribe what other posters have said about it having less power than it should have, the instructor being more restrictive than it needs to be, and more induced drag than it should have (oswald efficiency in particular should be greater than 1 with both engines running as the propash extends the effective wingspan a bit), but the really strange thing in statshark is the ridiculously high drag of the horizontal stabilizer.
After trying it out in test drive i also noted that at low angles of attack the aircraft is unstable in pitch axis, since it pitches up when you slow down and pitches down when you speed up (a stable aircraft would do the opposite, the airframe tries to maintain airspeed by trading off altitude) meaning that with full real controls you have to be constantly fiddling with the pitch trim if you want it to not nose up or nose down violently the moment you take the hands away. The picture above in stat shark confirms it, as at 0 angle of attack the (virtual) rear horizontal stabilizer is producing lift, when it should be producing downforce for a stable aircraft, or be neutral for a perfectly balanced airplane.
Now some older aircraft accidentally turned out to be unstable even when they weren’t supposed to(like the xp-55, which was initially unstable in pitch, yaw AND roll coupling, a real death trap for a careless pilot), but i don’t believe any of the flying pancakes were unstable in flight - and the xp-55, which was unstable in real life, is pretty stable in warthunder…
