Spoiler

Today, the Dreams Come True event has started with the KV-7 as the main reward! While that’s exciting, this year, War Thunder turns 12, so we wanted to spice things up a bit for you. We’re pleased to announce some side activities related to the KV-7 and the game’s anniversary!

KV-7 Dreams Come True Event Details

Your eyes aren’t deceiving you — you now have the chance to win the famous IS-7. As it’s War Thunder’s 12th anniversary, we’ll be giving away IS-7 heavy tanks to 12 lucky winners during our anniversary stream through tickets earned in a new event. Keep reading!

Introducing the “Chasing the Big Brother” Event!

When: From November 15 (11:00 GMT) to November 18 (11:00 GMT), earn mission points in the “Chasing the Big Brother” event and earn tickets for a chance to win the famous IS-7, which will be added directly to your account.

“Chasing the Big Brother” is an arcade-style difficulty event where everyone plays in a KV-7 vs KV-7 mode without planes on small “classic” maps: [Domination] Kuban, [Domination] Poland, [Domination] Eastern Europe, [Domination] Abandoned Factory, [Domination] Karelia, [Domination #1] Mozdok, [Domination] Advance to the Rhine, [Domination] Sinai, [Domination] Volokolamsk. All maps allow 3 respawns.

You can find this event in the Events & Tournaments section in the hangar.

Tickets

Let’s see what tickets are. You get 1 ticket for every 5,000 mission points scored in the “Chasing the Big Brother” event. Tickets are limited to 5 per day (a new day starts at 11:00 GMT), so the maximum number of tickets you can earn is 15.

You can track your daily progress by going to Profile > Achievements > “Chasing the Big Brother” section. Each ticket you earn will have its own unique ID in your inventory.

A link to the full list of player and ticket IDs will be added to this announcement once the event ends and before the anniversary stream begins. The list will be removed after two weeks.

Read on to see how tickets give you a chance to win the IS-7.

Tickets & How They Can Win You the IS-7 in the Anniversary Stream

How do the tickets become an opportunity to win the IS-7? On November 22 (16:00 GMT), we’ll be hosting an anniversary stream where, among other things, this giveaway will take place, hosted by Mike and Tom.

War Thunder’s Twitch Channel

Each ticket you hold will enter you into the raffle. The more tickets you have, the better your chances to win.

Twelve different winners will be drawn on the stream — each will win the IS-7, added directly to their account! If a winner already owns the IS-7, we’ll contact them later so they can choose any pack from the Gaijin Store, and another IS-7 winner will be drawn during the stream.

Twitch Drops!

Twitch Drops will be available all weekend on a select number of content creator channels as well as on WT’s Official Channel during the anniversary stream giveaway. You can check out the exact channels on Twitch, in the “Drops & Rewards” section. Make sure to watch for a chance to win some gifts!

Log in to your Twitch account → link your Gaijin account → click “Allow” to receive Twitch Drops!

When: From November 22 (12:00 GMT) to November 25 (10:00 GMT).

I thought the Dreams Come True event series was meant to introduce highly-requested vehicles which would normally be a problematic addition.
Like the Sturmtiger. Highly requested. Normally a problematic addition due to its very long reload, HE only, tough trajectory, glaring weakspot.
Followed by TOG2. Also highly requested. Problematic because of its low speed and large size, and failed prototype status.

So who exactly dreamt of the KV-7 being added? And how is the KV-7 a problematic addition?

I am happy to report that the Kv-7 looks quite good in game. Should be very fun.

More than likely someone at gaijin became aware of this mockup and wanted to immediately one-up it…Komrad, it is like your fascist thing, only superior

So is this stupidity sellable on the marketplace or not gaijin?

It is not.

I’ll admit I’m probably not going to use this vehicle but I did just grind out the first stage.
I do like one of the decals and the tank decoration.

Grinded the first two Tasks, but since I do not really play during the week, I will buy some of the tasks.

Im good of this lil bro… At last whole month of worthless events just in time to not play this game. Hopefully you dont miss next month Gajin.

T-95 would be a better option not gonna lie, it’s a Jack-of-all-trades: ground radar, unmanned turret, 30 mm secondary auto cannon and a 152 mm main caliber weapon in such cool looking design. It’s a shame we’re getting this instead of something more unique.

What I mean is by the past years event vehicles were just some common designs without much to add. Events from 6 years ago were more interesting with vehicles like AGS, Object 279 a notable mention with vehicles like the 3,7 cm Flakwilling auf Panther Fahrgestell.

Now we’re stuck with Boxer MGS. The worst event vehicle choice of this new event cycle. Hope next year, of even this if we got time, Gaijin ads some good vehicle. Unique and good vehicle to worth the rush.

To the poor crew.

The vehicle is a mockup anyways. Won’t be added with the current vehicle standard.

This looks like a giant water pumping station with sprinklers attached. But being higher gives you a massive advantage over tanks like strvs and 2a7, 2a8s.

This gives me the idea of using “fugas” from an elevated position hitting the Leos on top of their machinegun and thermal sight areas.

The KV-4 looks way more interesting and playable than the KV-7 “karobka” we are getting. I am grinding the KV-7 but will substitute for the KV-4 any day. Someone mentioned the IS-7 1946 version that would be more than a dream come true.

I like the KV-4 122 from world of tanks, pretty much a bigger badder KV-220

I am an advocate for some “paper-vehicles” but they should atleast be something like a object 263 with real blueprints, wooden mockup and atleast some real world components in existence - gun, engine, hull etc. But the KV-4 is a name for a lot of different design ideas. im not sure the “KV-4” in their game is anything less than fictional and the creation of (WarGaming):
Uden titel

-themselves, like many of their japanese heavies.

It (KV-4) looks nice on paper but in reality we have the kv-220 which is in the game, otherwise I think this is way more fitting for a 12 year anniversary. IS-3M

That tank look like my ex girlfrend

Panther II, Tiger 2 10.5 Maus, E-100, kugelblitz, (panther that is an aa), Zeztorer, etc there are a lot of fake vehicles in the German tech tree, that were only blue prints.

I’m pretty sure out of all the vehicles I just listed, the maus was the only one to have a hull. (Not counting normal panther and tiger hulls)
