Dreams Come True 2026 Predictions

Real tank that was extensively tested

Real tank that was extensively tested

Real tank built as a prototype for a stop gap vehicle in case the Chieftains weren’t ready and the Cold war went hot.

Meanwhile the MBT-80 had ONE prototype, that wasn’t even really a prototype, and just a proof of concept, with no armor or anything. It wasn’t even tested much because at the time it was built, the MBT-80 project was already heavily stalled and going nowhere.

TTD was a full functional vehicle, Hell even to this day they drive it around at events at the South African Armor museum.

TTD just means Tank Technology Demonstrator, it was never meant to be a full frontline combat tank, it was more a design study to see what they could do. The tank in game is the built prototype, the 120, and all of that was planned for the actual production version of the vehicle, had they continued with the concept. thats why it doesn’t have a full autoloader, and just has the assisted loader system, the production vehicles were intended to be fully autoloaded like the Rooikat MTTDs.

Firstly because its the different hull from different Bismark prototype :/ Or at least it looks to me like so.

If not, then probs germans put it back with them. I read that they only had one functioning prototype turret for Bismark and several hulls. You can see this hull is painted differently, so they may have just left it there to cut costs.

No, it wasnt.

THat is a good assupmtion, i read this throughout, but as you already said most believe the DCT to have something weird and hard to balance, thus not being weird enough is a good reason to not be in the list. I believe the J7W with jet engine then sounds much more terrific and suitable as it was both not entirely complete and seems pretty weird, than pretty basic prototype of Ki-64.

The reason i believe so is that Ki-64 being gatekeeped that way seems strange to me, but i love your way of thinking, you have some very viable arguments. Would still love to see you being right in your prediction!

SE.100 or FCM F1 would be it if it was french but there’s one more obscure french plane that kinda fits in.

The SE.580. WW2, very unique, good performance, but incomplete prototype. Also suggested in old forum.

But sadly I think it’s not very popular, so it’s just me coping.

But in what way is it weird? I cant really see that here

Oh. OH. Nevermind. I get it now. Its COOL. 24 piston X-engine and this huge intake on the roof. Its ENOUGHLY funny to me XD

Bro can’t read.

Both the same exact vehicle, Same number and all.

That would be my second guess but I think is just more conventional than SE 100 and thus less of a DTC vehicle and more likely to come in other events.

Unless the Olifant turret was actually integrated / planned as the final turret if it was accepted, I think it’s more accurate to remodel it with a non-mockup version of the original turret.

I don’t think giving it a pure display turret would be accurate, even if technically neither was integrated.

The issue with this is that the J7W2 was only a paper design. It was never built, and so it isn’t eligible for addition to the game. I wish we could have it for the tech tree, though, as Japan’s indigenous jets at that level are rather few in number.

Really, Japan has no viable options for a DCT vehicle that are as wacky and unusual as the XF5U, or the KV-7, or the TOG 2, or the Sturmtiger (except for the O-I, which was hard denied). As such, as I argued in the quote post, I believe that they’ll settle for something perhaps less unique (but still a fully unique prototype/limited production vehicle) but still requested for a long time for nations without such unusual options available. It’s on this basis that the Ki-64 remains, as I understand it, Japan’s most likely DCT choice.

That does look like another viable choice, and if it had a suggestion on the old forum that was passed, then maybe it would be a possibility. There is an r/Warthunder post asking for it that dates to May 27th, 2017, so it does seem to meet the “requested for a long time” requirement.

So so. We all know they be capping about not adding O-I right?

Its gonna be this dream come true. Or perhaps premium? I am just wondering if its gonna be premium if my GE gonna be enough. How much GE do you guys think it would cost?

They’ve been handholding japan the whole year, so it might actually happen

On the contrary, Smin was pretty clear about it not coming. See the very first post in this thread for the quotes.

As for GE cost, the DCT vehicle would likely be around 6,000 GE to buy the (likely) six tasks to get it, along with an additional 999 GE for the special camouflage, going by the XF5U last year. However, the cost and number of tasks depends on the rank/BR of the reward vehicle, so it could be different from this.

Indeed. It always makes my blood boil, although my examples are from architecture. After WW2, it was considered to demolish the Reichstag. In the end, they decided to scoop out the whole historic interior and strip the facade and fill it in with clean, modern design and glass. Same with the Berlin Palace (Humboldt Forum), looks like any shopping mall or conference center. Other places got completely bulldozed, like the Kaiser Wilhelm national memorial in front of the palace.

It makes me so mad.

O-I won’t be added. Cope

A lot of regency-victorian era buildings here in England suffer a fate of being gutted and “modernised” inside too.

What used to be the old swimming baths where I live is becoming flats… My family had been swimming there for a century and now it will be flats that will cost the better part of a million pounds.

It would be funny if they dropped the O-I anyways as DCT, after all the denials.

It was also mainly a post-war design, while the real concept never had any detailed schematics and was more just an idea to eventually put a jet engine into a J7W variant in the future.

It was denied for now due to missing information, and directly confirmed to not be this years DCT event reward.

Technically both engine and a planer were built, so :3
ah well thats a DCT for you

Well thats a logical conclusuon, i agree with you.
