NGL the British Monitor with the 18in gun would be funny as hell.

Or the original version of HMS Furious with 2 of them.

TARGET, PORT
“oh bugger”
It had 2 12in guns on the front that could traverse

I really wish we get the Surcouf or some other iconic submarine
I know
but thats like driving a Ferrari in Eco mode or listening to Mötley Crüe on half volume
Seems like a fun formatting exercise to try and make the AI text more pleasant to read. I’ve tried it here without changing too much written text / rewriting, though I did cut out some of the repetitive or misplaced parts AI likes to add.
Anyways here’s my attempt:
I think DCT vehicles are more appeasing when they are tanks, thus let me introduce:
The FCM F1 and Why the FCM F1 Should Be Added
(as the 2026 Dreams Come True Event Vehicle)
The FCM F1 represents an ambitious tank design that sadly never progressed to full completion, but would bring something genuinely different to the French ground forces. The FCM F1 would be a very unique vehicle, but also one that would surely be a dream for many players.
Historical Background and Development
The FCM F1 was developed by Forges et Chantiers de la Méditerranée, a French shipbuilding and engineering company that also designed armoured vehicles. In the late 1930s, the French military became increasingly interested in a new generation of extremely heavy tanks that could break through powerful defensive positions.
France had extensive experience with heavily armoured infantry-support tanks, including the Char B1 bis. However, the FCM F1 was intended to take the concept much further. Rather than merely supporting infantry or fighting other tanks, it was envisaged as a specialised breakthrough vehicle capable of attacking fortified enemy lines.
The project developed during a period when France was preparing for a possible major conflict with Germany. Here, the French military placed considerable importance on the ability to break through defended positions, which reflected on the FCM F1’s design.
However, the situation changed dramatically with Germany’s invasion of France, the rapid collapse of French resistance and the subsequent armistice, which prevented the FCM F1 from reaching the production and testing stages required for an operational tank.
At this point the original text was talking about how it’s incomplete, but not about the actual progress, so I just removed the redundant part. I’m just leaving this here and not doing a full rewrite because I don’t want to take the time to research just do do a formatting exercise.
Technical characteristics and proposed specifications
The FCM F1’s greatest attraction is the scale of its design. It was intended to be a super-heavy tank with substantial armour, a large crew and powerful armament.
Armour protection was to be as much as 120 mm all around, though the intended production configuration was never completed.
The main turret at the rear of the hull was planned to carry a 90 mm gun, commonly identified as the 90 mm DCA, while the secondary forward turret was designed around a 47 mm SA 37 anti-tank gun. In addition to this it was said to carry eight 8mm machine guns, with even mentions of a twin 20mm anti aircraft cannon mount.
It was planned be powered by two Renault V12 petrol engines, producing around 550 horsepower each. Despite the impressive 1,100 horsepower figure however, mobility is restricted to 20-24km/h by the tanks 140 ton weight.
I’m not entirely sure about the “no final configuration” thing. I really hope that’s just AI talk because if it’s true then this is a vehicle that really shouldn’t be in game. But personal opinions aside, more than half of this section was talking about the game context, which really should be contained to the next section…
Why it would be unique in War Thunder
The FCM F1 would bring several features that would make it stand out from other vehicles in the game.
Its enormous size and two turret configuration makes it a very unique design, letting it stand out from other vehicles.
Its two cannons allow for interesting gameplay capabilities rarely seen on other tanks.
Its heavy armour would let it comportably fill the classic heavy tank role. It would be suited to supporting teammates, holding important positions and advancing slowly under fire.
Of course it wouldn’t be perfect, though. Its low speed and large profile would make it vulnerable to flanking and air strikes.
Why it should be the Dreams Come True event vehicle
I believe the FCM F1 would be an excellent choice for the 2026 Dreams Come True event because it’s A rare and unusual historical design, a real tank project that unfortunately never reached completion.
A true dream, coming true over 80 years later!
The FCM F1 would be a memorable event reward because of its size, armour and two-turret design. It would look completely different from most tanks and could attract both French tank players and collectors.
Players would have a reason to work towards unlocking it because it would offer something different rather than simply being another version of an existing tank.
How it could be balanced
Its proposed 139–145-tonne weight, armour of up to 120 mm, 1,100-horsepower engine and combination of a 90 mm main gun and a 47 mm secondary gun would give it a distinctive role. At the same time, its slow speed and enormous size would provide weaknesses that could help balance it. It would be powerful when used in the right situation without becoming impossible to defeat.
I really don’t get this category. It just lists weaknesses already mentioned before. There is no balancing issue, I really think this could’ve been omitted entirely.
Most importantly, the FCM F1 would offer something that many other vehicles cannot: the chance to use a fascinating historical design that never became a fully working tank.
The FCM F1 should be considered a strong candidate for the Dreams Come True event. It would be a unique reward for players, add variety to the French ground forces and bring an ambitious piece of French tank history into War Thunder.
Too whatever maniac actually read this i hope you enjoyed :)
Also I just want to add I don’t actually care about how the text was written. This is a place people go to spend their free time and if someone doesn’t enjoy writing out things like that they can’t be forced.
I just thought it’d be fun to try and work around the AI text because to me it’s a fun thing to do in my free time, not to make fun of or insult anyone.

Not really a dream vehicle
I don’t think you understand dct criteria
Dct event is when a highly requested vehicle from the ww2 era comes to the game that fits the standards e.g whackey prototypes hence the name DREAMS COME TRUE. The re 2006 is interesting yes but it doesnt have distinctive characteristics that stand out for it to be a “Dream come true”
For Italy, the Hungarian 44M Tas, Italy needs heavy tanks. Or the Ferrari F333e, it certainly is funky

Neither one of them seems like a DCT addition, nothing unusual about them
To briefly comment on this statement:
The reason the XF5U-1 is rarely seen these days is not necessarily because it is a plane, but because it is very difficult to use effectively due to its highly unconventional design. Not every DCT candidate aircraft would be this difficult. While I am aware that ground forces has, as I understand it, surpassed aircraft in terms of popularity (although to what extent I do not know), an aircraft reward would appease people just fine. Not everyone, but it would be popular enough.
I personally believe an aircraft is more likely this year since we’ve had three DCT tanks already, but the very fact that we got three tanks in a row demonstrates that there is not necessarily a clear pattern in DCT vehicle class, so this belief of mine could very well be unfounded.
VK3001P is the first Prototype for the Porsche Tiger.
It was actually a decent machine, far better than the later Porsche Tiger proper.
And the VK3002 DB is a exceptionally cool vehicle, as its a direct German attempt at Knocking off the T-34.
The 3001P is actually the tank that got Porsche in the door.

It was a exceptional machine for the time, quite mobile. It was the first vehicle to use Porsche’s gas electric drives that would later be used in his actual Tiger, and the Ferdinand/Elephant, and the maus.

That makes it sound even less like a DCT vehicle
Always good to hear someone elses opinion on stuff like this :)
It’s their username, they aren’t a Community Manager
Honestly I prefer Italian stuff to come to the regular tree, especially because when Italy gets some event/BP stuff it means in the update it would get a few copypaste at max, like in Odyssey.
