There are in total 3 british phantoms in the British tech tree and having all three stay the same isn’t the best idea. I think having the FGR 2 with Aim 9Ls stay at 12.0br, the FG.1 can drop to 11.7br, and the British F4J could drop down to 11.3br (As it has none of the U.S. F4J advantages like the HMD, Aim 7F, and it gets a heavier gunpod compared to U.S. F4J). This would be a great way to balance them and make them a lot more playable.

I have been thinking the exact same thing. Particularly as I believe it was the FGR which got AIM-9L’s historically and then the FG.1 can drop as you said. Though i’d put money on the FGR becoming irrelevant and the FG.1 being played.
But noone can convince me that the FGR is somehow better than the Mig-23ML(D/A) even post-nerf and I have both.

Yes while the mig 23ML variants would have better flight performance than the FGR 2, however the Aim 9Ls are a much superior missile compared to the R-60M, and thats not mentioning that the FGR2 can switch to PD, and has 2 more missiles compared to the ML series. What really hurts the ML series was the change to their radar, where they can no longer keep it as either default or MTI/LD mode, it now automatically switches based on position of the enemy and the plane itself. This is the nerf I’d argue is what really harmed the ML series. The fact that the british and US navy phantoms can keep their PD mode is a really good advantage now.
Even if you gave the British F4J Aim 9Ls, it would still not be enough to justify 12.0br, it would instead make it an 11.7br jet. Though I would rather the British F4J go down to 11.3br as Britain currently lacks any fighter at from 10.3-11.3br range.
Why exactly would we need to do this? The U.S. F4J is already fine at 12.0br with HMD and Aim 7F, nerfing it and dropping its BR to 11.3br does not make any sense and would probably cause an uproar from the US playerbase.

Yeah if the FGR’s had 9L’s they’re definitely better than the 60M’s. The radar nerf really hit them hard though R24R gives them that first shoot and first hit potential even if you have to be a bit higher to have ground clutter behind them.
