Does the amount of fuel taken affect the weight and maneuverability of the aircraft in War Thunder?

I take for F-16C almost minimum and a single drop tank. Love speed…

Yeah for sure. That’s why I said minimum but also being general.

Yeah easy example is the take of run of a jet with full fuel and without. It’s the same with props too of course but jests can be almost double the take off run. The other way is flying identical planes with friends using different fuel level. Less fuel takes off faster.

Thank you for your answers!

Which is why it’s annoying that some planes are forced to take over an hour of fuel when games last 5 minutes.

At least for Helis it does. The EC-665 with max fuel load and ordinance can’t climb anymore.

Love to see how a Lancaster flies on 20 mins of fuel

These are like 100 years old, because fuel does effect the plane, our Dataminer can confirm that fuel has a weight

Muh but 10 years ago the devs said thats not the case lel

Fuel for plane yes

Yes fuel affects the performance

Does the performance reflect the preselected base fuel before the match or the fuel remaining after it has been consumed over a set period?

In my experience, I’ve never felt that my plane flew better after 20 minutes of play, with only 0:30 seconds of fuel left…

Fuel mass goes down.
I just wasn’t going to spend 7 minutes waiting for fuel to go down.
By all means test drive the F-20 with fuel on, and you’ll get the same result.

Mods yes, but CM’s are Gaijin employees.

Doesn’t change anything I said.

On some jets it can make difference between making a tight turn or ripping a wing (looking at you Mirage 3E, well at least it was like that the last time I flew it before it got wing tanks)

Hell nah man, you are joking
