Yet they are better off at those positions as their sides are pretty weak, so hiding hull is still a viable tactic. Yet they are capable of “just standin’ ere” and be a great defenders of said position, and i believe they`ll get there faster than Pershing. Idk. Centurions suffer from lack of top speed, and pershing suffers from lack of acceleration i believe.

the gun is good, but not for its BR. Sadly 6.3 wont do much as you will easly get uptierd, plus IS2 and King Tiger 2 P is sitting there
well IS-2 aint a bad target for Pershing, much i would say fair one. And KTP is also much farer as offers an ability to fight it head-on. I would say Pershing would make a great 6.3 heavy tank but im not sure if its fair for the 5.3 kids.

I believe the T30 should go down to 6.3 due to a very very long reload and not that great penetration. Yes its 150mm gun and shell has a large explosive mass but more often than not, it bounces and does not gurantee weak spot penetration.

at 6.7 yes, at 6.3? Its pretty much heavy
IS-2 offers huge reload times and pretty much worse protection and survivabilitythan Pershing. And its overall less usable against 5.3 machinery.

thats not entirely fair? I mean the M103 with long cannon is 6.7, it offers twice shooting rate and mobility for less protection.
Tho APHEs on T30 realy did become useless. They were goated before, they had 200 pen and did very little ricocheit. Now T30 is basically HE ONLY slinger with huge reload time.

Not even both Tiger IIs, the prototype turret can be reliably penned by 76mm at ranges up to 800m (the pen is sufficient up to 1200m last time ive checked but then theres certain random factor introduced by impact angle from resulting drop).

Whenever I take 5.7 lineup out (Sherman Hell my beloved), if I am forced to fight german tanks frontally, Im actually more worried by Jgdpzr IV with long 75 and Jagdpanther than I am by Panthers.
Not saying Panthers arent dangerous and certainly they are annoying to deal with at range but at least they can be frontally penned by either coupola, turret cheeks or mantlet at certain angles. So if you frontally push them, E8 can get first shot off due to short stop stab which usually makes them relatively easy kills.
The angled nightmares that are Jgdpzr IV and Jagdpanther tho? If you cant detrack them AND clear their line of sight before they can shoot back, youre toast.
Probably needs to move down to 6.3, I mean the Type 61 with smoke grenades, NVD and rangefinder is at the same BR and probably is faster accelerating and more mobile than the Pershing
