So i decided screw it im just gonna try out the israeli tanks for the sake of it and the M51 is easily my most favourite tank in the game right now. This tank just bullies wehraboos in the three games i’ve had in it. Mind you im not even that good in this game. After all this time of suffering with britain ive finally found some joy.
Though is the m51 really that good ? I dont know much abt other than it utilises heat and looks cool as hell but is it really that great at its br ? And if so does the rest of the other tanks in this tree get better ? Particularily with the Magachs.
Then again maybe the M-51 is the only worthy tank tank to play in this forgotten nation
Hello, I’m somewhat of an Israeli tech tree expert. Some 7K distinct ground missions played with Israel. Everything spaded.
Israel is very tricky. There are some great lineups, but outside of those lineups they underperform. Sometimes dramatically.
Below 8.0 just stick to the M-51
8.0 is ok, you can potentially stick to the M-51 through this. Helps to have the premium M-51.
8.7 is amazing. Probably the funest tank is the Hydra. Hilarious to steamroll with the rockets.
9.3 is amazing but less fun.
12.0 is mediocre.
Top tier:
Slightly sluggish (great reverse, but slow top speed, slow turns, and good acceleration)
Ok pen, decent post pen. (shoots the DM53 out of the same gun, but gets less pen (Licensed copy of L44 and the DM53 is an unlicensed copy of M338). Welcome to Israel)
Awful armor! The only thing that is ok is above the gun which helps with peaking hills.
Laser warning, and trophy are amazing. And as we expand into the future they will only become more relevant.
For the 8.0, 8.7, and 9.3 I only include vehicles of that BR, but I bring all of them. I have a lot of slots though. Those lineups are great because you have a bunch of that exact BR.
But, for what I prefer, for the Magachs there are two flavors, at least on the cards, one with less turret armor and faster, and one with more. I generally prefer the Magachs with more armor.
I don’t like the Tiran’s but i do like the Shoit’s.
Merkava 2’s are great, Merkava 3’s suck. Mk4’s are mediocre as above.
Israel is not considered a good nation in the game, and are not in a good spot, BUT these lineups are very powerful and at least on par with anyone else at their BR and I think better. Top tier is a little bit of a struggle but doable. I have Israel and Sweden maxed out, and Sweden is much easier to do really well on at top tier.
Definitely put some time/maybe creds into crew skills. Starting at higher tier means you are behind crew skills.
Lahatut helicopter at 8.7 is OP, i throw it into the 8.7 and 9.3 lineup.]
You mentioned that 8.0 and below just stick with the m51 but how about the lights ? Particularily the aml 90. Would it still be useless to still bring them ? Or at least to bring the tcm spaa ? Is everything but m51 just worse (unfun/uncompetitive ?) in every regard in tier iv ?
Also how does the m51’s free 3 backups work ? Is there a catch to this or is gaijin actually being kinda nice for awhile for f2p grinding
For leveling up, I would stick to the M-51 until the start of rank 6. I’d put a Talisman on it. Imagine the exp from 3 talisman’d tanks every round… And it’s a great tank… For the price of one talisman.
I say 8.0 for fun, you can switch to it, but 8.7 is more fun, i would personally get to rank 6 and play 8.7 first. Just my opinion.
Yes you get 3 spawns! Every round! Who knows if that will change, there was talk some time ago.
I assume that’s how the talisman would work on it, but i did not go that route. hind sight is 20/20, just how i would have gone.
I started my Israel tech tree probably about a month ago because I saw the Sabra’s ammunition and now I’m at 9.7, and I think I’ll settle down with 8.7 at the moment, it has a funny vehicle with hydra rockets attached to it, they have a bunch of Magachs and Centurions on steroid and after having over 100 matches at 8.7, I’d say they are a pretty strong line up as their vehicles have good FCS and excellent ammunition in the br. Some might have bad experiences with early M48/M60s variants without stabilizers, but the one with them is a different beast.
