One would assume so, but evidence suggests that they don’t. apart from gaijin being obsessed with only balancing based on vehicle kill ratios, a subjective and moronic method, there are many glaringly obvious cases of vehicles which are clearly inferior to another that is a lower BR.
For example, the the AMX-30 S DCA is 8.7, but the PGZ09 is 8.3, inspite of the fact that the PGZ09 is overwhelming better in almost every way.
But back to the question. Does gaijin have anyone who’s job it is to balance vehicle BR? are they going to move to a less unwieldy system, or balance objectively rather than subjectively?
Vehicles are not balanced based on KDRs.
The PGZ09 has worse guns to the AMX-30 DCA, can’t comment on radar.
They’re balanced on KDR… Usually they look at how much SL it’s making and how much it dies in a match. That’s why back in the day, crappy tanks used to keep getting higher and higher SL repair costs. Only pro players were using them = less deaths = unbalanced in Gaijin’s eyes.
Now look at Pvkv II and compare with M10
Or let’s talk about how the Vampire and Venom are 8.0-8.7, despite being made DURING WWII (1942ish) and are slower than any other jet at 6.7-7.0, and are comparably worse than any other jet at 8.0-8.7, but somehow they’re still up there instead of being at 7.0
Short answer: No
Long answer Ofc they don’t
