Just a question no bias intended ive seen ThunderSkill but have been told its anti russian so dont think it has proper stats if that is the case but where do you go to find these?
Its always the enemy team…
Just a question no bias intended ive seen ThunderSkill but have been told its anti russian so dont think it has proper stats if that is the case but where do you go to find these?
How is it anti Russian?
It takes the stats of every player who signs up. There’s very few ways to actually skew statistics in a way you’re imagining
Less than 2% of players are recorded on Thunderskill.
… Assuming that’s correct, why would it matter? 2% of the population is statistically significant, if my PoliSci classes were worth anything.
2% would be statistically significant if the sampleset wasn’t biased and entirely randomly distributed among the user base.
Edit: to clarify, biased towards people who want to track their stats
But here its 2% of the userbase of which it only contains those who have had an interest in signing up
to what is a niche service. This is not Steam Hardware survey (ignoring the issues Steam hardware survey has)
It’s not significant when most players don’t even know there’s a changelog page on the War Thunder website let alone some never-updated poorly put together data collection site.
Russian tank users are more likely to use Thunderskill than other tech tree mains as well.
It’s bad data all around.
I thought it was anti russian because it looked to me people padding that nations stats to say its OP … If thats not the case then …either way why is it so hard to find should be one of the most basic stats provided
Russian tank users are more likely to use Thunderskill than other tech tree mains as well.
It’s bad data all around.
And you know this… how?
By seeing how many more BVM battles are on Thunderskill than all other tanks.
And do you think that might be indicative of something else? Maybe that the T-80BVM is overpowered compared to its peers at top tier?
Russia being over-represented on Thunderskill wouldn’t mean anything either. If a group of 600 or 6000 people have a 70% win rate, it’s still going to be 70%. Size doesn’t change the winrates.
When less than 2% of the playerbase uses Thunderskill, that’s exclusively indicative of how many players.
And no, that 70% alleged win rate goes closer to 50% the more people polled.
Soviets do not and have never had a 70% win rate. There is no evidence to the contrary.
Didn’t know Warthunder had more than 225.000.000 players, that’s impressive.
Can you prove this with stats or is this another its true because I believe it to be? Hard number stats from a collection of players is what I am asking please dont tell me ThunderSkill is only place to get stats???
And over 80% of the players on THunderskill haven’t updated their stats in over a year.
@XItsBalanceX
Thunderskill is the only place to get stats, and it’s trash stats.
In a vacuum, it’s bad, and it’s worse in the context we have.
Win rate also doesn’t dictate how good vehicles are, but most players will always be unaware of this.
That still does not change the number amounting to 225 million players.
Even if 80% hasn’t updated their statistic, who knows where you get that statistic from, that’s still a million players and that’s still 45 million total players.
That 2% is active players, most people on Thunderskill aren’t active players.
If 20% updated their profile in the last year, or are we again moving the goalposts here?
And if a vehicle has 10.000 matched played that is more than an adequate sample size, it doesn’t matter if the game has a 5.000 or 225.000.000 players as you imply, as it certainly outweighs the value of someone’s anecdote.
We have hundreds of thousands of battles that suggest Russia’s winrate at top tier is far above that of others, if you want to pretend that’s too small of a sample size I don’t know what to tell you.
Goalposts remain the same.
My statement from the beginning: At most 2% of battles are recorded on Thunderskill, that’s with conservative battles per hour estimates of 10 minutes per battle, leading to a minimum monthly battle count of over 8,640,000 TOTAL across all modes.
Again, that’s a minimum, it’s likely over 10 million battles. x that by 20 players, and that’s over 200 million vehicle spawns per month.
Yes, your anecdotes don’t matter. Thunderskill’s collection of anecdotes doesn’t matter.
No anecdotes matter which is why I never post anecdotes.
Statistics 1:1 copied from Warthunder are somehow anecdotes now.
And you didn’t say battles, you said 2% of players, both of which are not information that is available to you anyways.
