I have almost spaded the F/A-18A and I find that the performance is really bad, it struggles to keep Mach 1 and the missiles are either flying into the ground, out on the orbit or into your teammates who are clearly on the other side of the screen and they’re not locked on to. The F-4 outperforms it any day
Seems like this has been quite a common problem of late. I think the TWS+ they added has some pretty major kinks to work out

You found things everyone were warned from the very start about the hornet, as it is basically a Transonic-to-M1-capable jet with modern tech and competitive nose authority.
That is common Gaijin bs, nothing to do about it until they fix it adequately.
Oh come on, I have barely 5 games played and managed to make it work quite well, even without properly spading it.
It can’t carry anything, missiles malfunctioning… therefore F-4 is better
I’ve seen people talking about ‘Balance’ and nations that do deserve stuff or not without playing the nations they mention at all, i can use any of my own samples if i wish.

At this moment you can do a lot more with the F-4S, the Hornet was designed as a multi role, Fighter/Attacke, in the current state if you load up, and fuel up you’re not doing anything with it. I’m not slagging up the real one, I’m just saying that what they did in game with it, not even close.
Another thing, it’s a navy jet, do that load up bombs, napalm, whatever and fuel up and try taking off from a carrier

Hornet isn’t a super fast jet when fully laden, its carrying a lot of stuff.
I’ve had a lot more missiles eat dirt than normal. may be something going wrong in the backend there

In game, absolutely… you’d get toasted in a F-4S against any decent hornet pilot. The F-4S holds no advantages.
