facing battleships in your very first game in a Murmansk/Cadorna is almost a given
Aren’t modern anti-ship missiles kinda useless against battleships? since they aren’t intended to penetrate such armor. Anyway it isn’t a real issue since BRs exist and vessels can be easily separated one from another.
A 50kg SAP-HE warhead on the mavs can ammo rack the secondary guns on most BBs in game, there is a reason nobody builds battleships anymore. And regardless in game they can just sit at a point and endlessly hurl 260kg warheads (on the type 90s, and those are on the small side, there are plenty of ASM warheads over 400kg and up to 1000kg) across even the biggest map until they drain your crew, destroy enough hull sections to sink you or just get lucky.
Yeah I’m sure they will do that just like how they separate the 1960s SAM ships from the WW2 4 engine heavy bombers.

Is turn down the REVERB on the secondary cannons in naval, I swear it’s going to make my ears bleed or break my headset, even on low volume it’s super intense for some odd reason.
Secondly, stop letting Ai STEAL KILLS. Doing all the work just for 1 shot from an Ai to steal a sinking ship from the player is just this:
Thirdly, I HATE spamming A the ENTIRE naval Realistic battle to keep updating range on an enemy target. What the hell is my crew doing? Playing cards while I play street fighter to keep my guns on target??

Lastly, FIX naval bots all shooting the 1st player who spawns in, instead of their closest adversary whether it’s a bot, or player.
as time goes on, and especially in this last year, Warthunder has become far less enjoyable, and I find myself playing other games more often thanks to the dev’s decisions and quite honestly, if they keep going the way they are, the game will definitely die out sooner rather than later.

I’d prefer if they start making proper gameplay in what we have , thatn keep adding things that won’t play well anyway.

I doubt it’s easy to implement modern ships with missiles and who knows how many different mechanics. Development obviously takes money, so Naval would practically need to explode in player count (30-40-50x) to even justify the investment.
Naval has an inherent problem of it being a niche military branch, which inevitably leads to less interest from people.

these types of issues could be thought of if you value the core idea.
its possible to implement a distinct BR system where you won’t encounter WWII era ships as soon as you step into missile era.
also every enhancement in technology is gradual. just like in ground battles where after a point you start encountering missiles which will be weak and slow. gradually , as you go upper in BR , modern tech will slowly expand and develop until you finally reach modern era with very advanced missiles.
this case is and should also be true for naval. both in real life and in game. you’re not gonna suddenly encounter a Zumwalt class destroyer from 2008 while in a WWII battleship. every tech improvement will be gradual as i said. just like ground and air currently are.

I’ve talked to a lot of people about naval and they’ve pretty much said that current naval is too boring and slow paced and they’re more interested in modern naval anyway.
looking at radar screens and waiting for missiles to hit/miss/get intercepted some +100 miles away is super exciting and very fast paced
many coastal vessels have inert missiles, I look forward to the day they get added, coastal is so broken they could just throw them in for some fun IMO.
Same with small subs, from my limited perspective anyway

There’s many outlets, games built in chat, WT themed discords etc, regularly ask around, I’ve seen many opinions and most say naval is just too boring right now and I sadly agree.
It’s too slow paced and the engagements are nearly the same every single time, with Cold War era you can add countermeasures and other means of defending your vessels and attacking the enemy team, it’s just more interesting.
I’m the exact opposite: I have zero interest in cold war era ships.
You go from artillery and plotting (actually cool stuff) to radar identification and missile launching. (Boring, despite the tech behind it being pretty cool)
There are cool aspects to it, I do wish there was naval radar jamming for the ships that could use them which is quite a few.

What about helicopter battles ?? The helicopter battles needs to be worked of and redone and new boards added and stop adding so many to one session
A lot of things need a rework. Don’t particularly like the fact an AI SPAA can spawn under you randomly and decide ‘respawn screen’ regardless of evasive maneuvers taken. They also just auto snipe your tail.
