We have some vehicles where this would be very valuable, e.g. VFW. That one can be switched from folded to unfolded, with respective advances/disadvantages like different reload speeds, but only via the modifications screen out of battle, not IN battle…
I’d even go so far as to say that vehicles with support structures can only fire if those are deployed (e.g. FlaRakRad, ItO’s). So transitioning from one state to the other would take some time, a bit like folding/unfolding of ATGM launchers.

OMG YES, they need to make it changeable, especially because most of the time they make you stuck and then you have to backup and whatnot, sometimes it can get you killed

Yea I just think it looks cooler
Pretty sure there are a few that do this already.
An spaa or two…Zerstorer maybe? But - I think you have to decide in garage which mode to deploy in, as opposed to assigning an in-battle function keybind.
