My answer is not at all ,here is my reason
1: There are almost no people spawn planes for A2A main,everyone take bombs to support or use special plane to cap.
2:CAS in NAB is not strong,the AA defense of most WW2 ships are powerful enough to auto shoot down planes ,and bots with player name works just like a NO-flying zone.All these makes most planes in naval can not survive for a long time and kill many ships(if you want kill ships you have to fly lower and harder to survive ,if you want survive you have to fly high and have less chance to kill ships)
3:In low br battles, especially for coastal main battles,the second chance to spawn a plane with loadouts can be the key to turn the tide and bring the battle more fun.
Yes. The current system is garbage. It’s the ground RB system which demands the user go 100% plane or 100% ship.
Allowing plane spawns in middle of sailing would be much better, like in ground AB where planes are powerful, but also easily countered.
This system ruins dreadnoughts with no AA weaponry.
But the new SP system changes nothing about dreadnoughts with no AA weaponry
And also i dont’t think user will go 100% plane because 100% plane will lose the battle very fast
Ngl I don’t play naval often. But when I do, I bring a Pe-8 and grab myself a free kill by flying above the range that the AI for ship AA guns will start shooting you which is something like 4km if I remember correctly. I imagine you could cause some serious trouble with a plane that’s better for the situation (AKA has more than 1 big bomb or something like the Fritz-X).
The funny part is that you can regularly get away with it since no one spawns planes for A2A, so it makes sense for Gajiin to at least try to incentivize spawning CAP somehow. Worst case scenario, it doesn’t matter.
bomb has been nerfed for many times so a big bomb still needs close to ship or you can only get a hit
By the way i don’t think this change will encourage people to do some A2A,more like decrease respawns from 3+2 to 3+1
Today i played a match and respawn for 4 times then i quit because the 5th respawn(the fighter i mean) is completely useless now,you can not take bombs ,rockets or something can hurt bluewater ships.
Due it is more or less rare that one can spawn a 2.plane beeing restricted to a pure fighter is a very stupid idea as outlined above. Planes have been nerfed by the aimbot update and even when the ai aa starts shooting at less distance the player can still target a plane manually just after spawning if the gun range is sufficient. above BR 4.3 most of the destroyers/frigates have proxy ammo which allows killing planes quite easy - not spoken of missile ships like Douglas and Bravy or Saetta vs WW2-planes…
The more easy solution to limit CAS in ground RB would have been to increase the spawnpoints in this mode - but once again a “solution” was choosen w/o taking consequences into account.
