would love to see the games graphics receive further modernization,
i know theres a seprate thread on DLSS 4 but FSR 4 i havent seen mention of yet, so i thought id bring up both :)

100% agree. The WT DLSS is absolutely horrible and something I’d never use personally, at least not on a 1080p monitor. FSR is usable for me, but only with SSAA, by which point any performance gains are non-existent. And still, there’s s bit lf jittering around edges and so on.
I’ve resorted to overriding the games in-built DLSS version through the Nvidia app (preset J), which made an enormous impact on the clarity and upscaling quality. Now DLSS, even on Ultra Performance mode, is easily the best looking AA method available to the game in my opinion.
Still, would be nice to see the game implement newer DLSS, FSR and XeSS versions natively to the game, so you don’t have to rely on overrides to get viable image quality.

No clue why anybody would use DLSS on 1080p except for maybe older hardware? Definitely would be nice to get DLSS 4 and FSR 4 in. Or something better than what they have in rn.

Lower load on the GPU while achieving fabulous graphics with everything maxed out (no RT). Dlss preset J/K compared to the built in dlss is night and day in difference. Looks magnificent even on 1080p.

Indeed- DLSS 4 Native looks practically like SSAA while having a big FPS boost, and DLSS 4 Quality looks practically the same except a bit for decals while gaining like an additional 20 FPS boost.
Meanwhile, DLSS 3.7.5 looks like a blurry mess. I wish the ingame version was 4 already, so they we wouldn’t have to tamper and meddle with external app unreliable overrides to have a good version of DLSS!

Just installed my 9070XT - FSR4 baby. Gaijin, I hope you’re keeping on top of everything.
Hopefully Gaijin is making sure War Thunder gets whitelisted for FSR3.1 > FSR4 support.

How many FPS do you get in benchmark test?! …
I’m thinking about buying the 9070xt or 5070ti at the end of the year, depending on the price.
9070xt for sure, it perform just slightly worse than the 5080
Will do benchmark when I get home. Getting over double the FPS of my previous 6700XT ingame.
