Discussion of Potential Finnish and Swedish ground vehicles

Tbh id say it wouldnt be that devalued since most who own it main germany anyway, and it actually has a good br lineup where it sits in the german TT vs if it was added to sweden it would just be alone, so experienced players would gravitate to a premium heavy tank with a good br lineup than a single tt variant lol

Thats what i think but gaijin doesnt see it that way

I mean they could have fixed the finland issue by adding all the different Stugs finland had with all the different armour layouts

That wouldnt be too much work since its multiple variants of the same base model

1943 stug would be prem. 1944 event. And 1960 wouldn’t be added. You choose

I mean ive yet to see a premium stug, since most players gravitate to better plattforms.

Personally i think the stug will come round next year for germany and finland, since its the only thing left wehraboos are frothing bout. So id say its only a matter of time.

Tho i did say that about the lvkv m/43 when Sweden was new so, yea maybe not

I want a stug now though…big sad…

Side note i am compelled to hope on pc and make a draken camo that i just need to see in game

Selling KV-1E for gold eagles doesn’t count into this because…?
It wouldn’t even be the first time they turned premium or event vehicle into a TT vehicle in another tree. Would these people really get sad that they have been able to play KV-1B in German tree for 8 years?

Surely this has nothing to do with KV-1B & E 4.0 BR. It’s always been the worst paypig vehicle of the game. If it was added into TT, we would have 20 times more players playing it, wrecking the BR range and finally forcing them to move it up.

Why is it this difficult to say they want to keep it as a good moneymaker? Unfortunately they are being stupid even at that. They absolutely can add it as very expensive GE or pack vehicle and make it available only occasionally like KV-1E. It won’t be anything away from anyone. Only ones possibly frustrated would be these people who don’t want to fight against undertiered vehicles with their own undertiered vehicles. Then again KV-1B can already face KV-1E.

Rest of the Finnish TT is rather sad indeed. Vickers E and T-26E are historically significant, but seriously that slow and poorly armored 1.0 tanks simply won’t remain interesting to play for long. The up-armored T-50 and StuGs shouldn’t take a lot of work to copypaste and modify, unless they consider their current models too far outdated.

Gaijin will find more ways to make the already worst sub tree even more uninteresting and boring

The only way to get things to change is to get more players behind thisnpush for it to be added. Unfortunately we dont have that

Yea forum playerbase for Sweden is way smaller than germany, so even if the whole sweden playerbase here would speak out it would still be like shouting into the void

Only reason the gripen A got HMD and such was because of the british players also asking

I found more sources and photos for the first of the Aleksandrovka KVs, crewed by Company Commander Lieutenant Ilyushev Nikolai Vasilyevich. I also found an equal amount of knowledge on the second KV-1 crewed by Tank commander Junior Lieutenant Oleshko Panteley Alexandrovich that got stuck in a stream and stayed there even after the unsuccessful recovery attempt via Ilyushev’s tank. Despite numerous photographs with Finnish troops it seems to have been denied of a Finnish recovery attempt likely due to its predicament.

The poster says that the KV-1 is also in this image, I presume it is the wreckage on the right.

In addition, “Millionaire” was not actually the name of Ilyushev’s tank, but rather the large bunker that can be seen in the background of my 9th image.

Source 1
A Russian forum’s conversation on the Karelian Isthmus fighting, the Aleksandrovka KVs are brought up multiple times alongside the bunker Millionaire.
Source 2
A direct history of the two tanks. Interestingly, this source contradicts others in its claims that the tow ropes installed on the first KV-1 were done so by the tank’s crew, who expected a recovery that never arrived due to the vehicle being considered a loss by command.
Source 3
A mention of the second tank’s loss, and the attempt of the first tank to retrieve it. The poster states that he wrote about the tanks in his book “Positional Warfare on the Karelian Isthmus, Year 1941”, although to what extent I couldn’t say.

They denied it, Finland cant get any other KV’s so finlands fucked

suggestion were declined as sources say the vehicle never entered Finnish service/was destroyed.

Guess they forgot about the Japanese Tiger then which never made it to Japanese service or even to japan.

On their part, it makes sense, as it isn’t really anything more than a battlefield wreck. I guess now the only hope for Sweden is the Kranvagn.

knowing gaijin, probably either a event/premium, or will only enter the game once the Newest modern vehicles have been added and gaijin has to roll back…

Kran is a dreams come true type event, unfortunately im also a fortuneteller and predict the future such as “Why does sweden need a dreams come true event?” “Why does sweden need the kranvagn their lineups are OP at every BR. Ect ect.”

Hot take but idc about kran nearly as much as my historical finnish lineup. Finland has been the most poorly implemented and cared for subtree since it was introduced amd every update only proves how little care was put into finland.

You are entirely correct about Finland, however, the leaks showed that Russia was planned to receive a KV-1 M1942 in addition to Finland’s, making the Finnish one nothing more than another boring copy paste to me.

Obviously most people don’t doubt that Finland has many interesting vehicles absent from its line but personally I don’t really find a KV-1 to be one of them.

Regardless, I can’t lie that I too hope to play the Finnish-upgraded Stug III G, T-28, T-50, T-26, T-34-85, and Comet in the near future, at the very least the Sturmi should’ve been there on launch.

The peoblem is fi land will never have 1 solid lineup outside of 4.x the problem of which being without the KV-1B we likely wont have any other armor aside from the stug which i can feel gaijin will put at 4.7-5.0 because of the armor.

Which upsets me because I feel like a tank such as the UDES XX-20 is more than enough of a “dream” to have a spot as an event instead.

Its a good enough X$ prem or event tank just like anything on finland. Heres your shitty CV9030 which we couldn’t find a way to sell it to you without placing it at a BR that would make sense. Same thing with the KV-1A feels like they knew how trash it would be and left it to finland so people had to buy it to see how it played.

Had it been built I would’ve proposed the ISU-152 recovery variant with the Lahti L-39 20mm rifle. The playstyle and BR would be silly but I’d gladly take the challenge.

I wouldn’t really expect much armor from any of the Nordic nations though, I’d argue that a mobility focus is one of their greatest advantages.
