But even if Finnish troops captured large number of BT-tanks in area north of Lake Laatokka / Ladoga at that time, they were not able to salvage these tanks, since they were lacking proper towing vehicles capable towing off tanks this heavy.
Bit late with the information but this site has first hand accounts of the finnish Battalions. Regardless yes i think it came down to the KV-1 being encountered by a Antitank company who did not have the proper equipment to deal with the vehicles’ capture. I assume since they had immobilized it the vehicle may have been messaged back to commanding officers who then gave the order to capture the vehicle, they may have had another conpany nearby to help move the tank which is why they mounted the tow hooks but they were in preety deep battles in September 5th so the company may have been unable to make it to them. Its not like the 26th antitank company could stay there on a road week covering a vehicle. At which point it seems likely that they’d have to give up and destroy it to continue with their objective.

War Journal of 6th Company of Tank Brigade (Heavy Tank Company) 17th of June 1941 –
Esa Muikku ja Jukka Purhonen: Suomalaiset Panssarivaunut 1918 – 1997, The Finnish Armoured Vehicles
In early hours of 5th of September 1941 two tanks of Christie Detachment were sent to chase the retreating enemy troops. The two tanks were sent to attack without escorting infantry, which turned out to be a serious mistake.
all remaining tanks of Christie Detachment either broke down or got stuck. They were dragged from mud and repaired back into running order, but by now were in such a worn shape, that they needed complete overhaul and extensive repairs.
The next day Christie Detachment was abolished
Again, heavy fughting and serious losses of tanks hated by the fins further explain why it was so important to capture a heavy tank, unfortunately fighting seems to have been pretty bad and most likely help never arrived.
The late TriKA variant could actually be significantly different compared to the unarmored early model since it gets the TV/laser FCS of ARTE 725 which should function as IRST in-game. There’s also an earlier configuration of the armored version without the FCS fitted
“Ooooh, youre telling me it had Tanks from russia, and britain? that we can reskin and throw into the Swedish TT, so we dont have to actually make more vehicles for sweden since they are such a pain in the ass and didnt buy any vehicles, so we actually have to model new ones?? Woww. Welp do mind if we dooo”
Actually their incentive to add finland was how much money can we make from selling them their actual TT whilst avoiding to fill the TT with finnish vehicles.
Welp, my hope is that the revenue share program will make it worth it for players to create vehicles, and then make it more worth for the devs to actually put those vehicles in the regular TT
Again finland was a poor option because gaijin already gave germany 3 of their more well known vehicles which would’ve been huge for finland as a nation which is why i argued with Smin about the KV-1A, it has 2 options be 4.7 and have no lineup but actually be competitive in a full downtier or, put it a 5.0 where its useless but has a lineup. See if sweden had a 4.7 lineup it would make sense but it doesnt. And Ozzy mentioning the turret can angle is hilarious cause you cant angle cast turrets. So its technically worse than the Zis 5 turret in armor because it cant angle
Wow they added a heavy tank so Sweden could finally complete quests, oh wait we cant have Sweden players only using russian tanks. I know make it premium and make its br suck, i see no problems here. Sweden players can finally shut it bout the lack of non event heavy tanks haha, good job gang! Now lets take our 17th vodka shot, wohoo. We solved a problem with best solution and we get money! And now Sweden has a 5.0 premium too to grind with!
Yea, i see no flaws here.
Mods please this is a joke dont send me to the shadow realm
