Discussion for the IAF F-16I Block 52+ “Sufa”

Handles like a GBU-39 but tracks and guides better, struggles with cover though from my testing, so you have to loft them for that, basically just functions like the spikes on the AH 60 though, multiple launches on a heavily arnoured target for higher kill chance

Oof the spine is bigger than I thought than lol but still nothing wrong with giving it derbys sense the platform can carry derbys and the platform never carried aim9M but they give it those

More in the essence that the B is a better short range missile, given the flat speed increase and higher initial thrust, while the C5 handles better over any distance past 8km with the retainer motor

How does the warhead compare? I think there may be flaws that do not allow the improvements in warhead technology to show ingame

Similar tbh, i’ll need to go back in dev to confirm whether or not there is a noticable difference, either way they aren’t particularly punchy against certain tanks

Actually, I have sources (people much more knowledgeable on the subject then myself) that say the IAF procured Aim-9Ms (unknown block) in 2008 and used them for training purposes on their F-16s in particular. It’s possible they were only of the CATM type, meaning inert, but that’s enough for gaijin. As far as I know Aim-9Ms on IAF eagles is completely fictional though lmao.

And this was all at ranges beyond most SPAA coverage so with the higher velocity of a closer range drop, they might be more effective

Idk, it should pretty much be a straight upgrade in most areas or at least stay the same from what I’ve heard. Especially the seeker

Eagles, yeah fictional, but the Manat squadron did indeed trial and test some 9Ms, and I believe a few are left over in the reserve AAM pile for the IAF, although i need a concrete source for that

Yeah, a nice little bridge between gbu 39 and the 250 ER and Stormbreaker

The AIM-120C-5? or are you just thinking of the SPICE-250

Spice 250, didn’t see what you were replying to

I still think we should get Israel load. Instead of derby add the python 6/David’s wand missile. Forgot the name when equiped on a jet but one of it’s names is python 6. It’s the hyper sonic missile that has no explosive war head. Add that instead of the aim120. It gives us a missile that can BVR but can’t turn good. And gives us something to make our jet unique instead of a copy n paste

Doesn’t exist yet, neither does the next gen derby

Also if you guys wonder why the Python 4 wasnt added for 2 years since it got added to files is this

It can always be nerfed but if you wonder what the actual in game stats of the Python 4 is you can check the missile chart

Yes the python 4 can pull insane tricks but that’s alo of they add the proper radars to the vehicles. Currently the f16I does not have it’s 360° radar in the spine. It’s modeled. Just not in

Also doesn’t exist, the Spine houses various different EW/ECM tech, including advanced RWR (SPS-3000) and PAWS, a directional threat computer, various jamming and EW systems, there is no ‘360° radar’, you might be getting confused with the modern DASH HMD, which can lock 360° but only slaving the radar in the frontql aspect, IRs cover the whole thing

Shouldnt be a problem even with the current tech on other jets like the F16C Barak II which can carry and fire the Python 4 no problem as it has 60 degrees off boresight ability to be fired at from the target

Ah yes that’s what I mean. Thank you for the correction. It’s be cool to see the aim9Ms to at least be able to use that system so they can feel cooler and still miss everything like normal
