Discussion for the IAF F-16I Block 52+ “Sufa”

Heyo y’all, as of today the F-16I Sufa has been added to the game as a part of the “Tusk Force” Dev Server. It’s not on the live server yet, but it will be in the coming weeks with the updates release. Until then, I’ve created this thread to discuss the F-16I’s current implementation regarding bugs, armament options, and performance.

The F-16I is a modified F-16D Block 52+ which was modified to suit the needs of the IAF. It features a vast arsenal on weaponry and is the most modern F-16 in IAF service, where it still serves to this very day.

Shouldn’t there really be 240 countermeasures? Four dispensers in the belly of the aircraft and four in the spine.

3 of the dispensers are modeled as large caliber dispensers, having 15 countermeasures each. If gaijin wants they can do what they’ve done in some aircraft before and model them as 30 each, but if they want to be consistent with the visual model it’s 45-150.

The PW-229 is currently missing thrust, I am working on a bug report for that one @BasherBenDawg8 since I know how to report this one.

I’ve seen other planes in the game that are modeled as large caliber and yet they count them as standard.
For example, this US F-16C Block 50 has 120 countermeasures, but two of the dispensers are for 15 large-caliber cartridges, which is why I say that gaijin places the countermeasures he wants at the end.

Just for proof of carrying of the IAI Rampage, here’s an image from IAF photographers:

This would be a great addition for long range stand off, as it serves a similar purpose to the Grom

Rampage on Israel F-16I 825

it seem the radar does not have gmti, is it normal?

It’s supposed to yes, that’s a bug. Thanks for noticing! I’ll report that right away since I have PDFs on it.

Yep.
The Sufa is powered by the Pratt and Whitney F100-PE-229 IPE (Improved Performance Engine) with a maximum trust of 29,100 Lbs, Engine weight - 3,740 lbs

You can find the sources:

Yes, gaijin does that for some aircraft. It stems from before split cm types existed. For instance it was only recently fixed on the F-16ADFs when they got Aim-120s. However it’s still a bug worth reporting and fixing.

Edit: the report was accepted and “the issue is known”

thats like 3 more tons of thrust ;o

i know the israeli website, i did not know of the IPE

A new issue has been brought to my attention, that not only affects the F-16I, but also the F-16D Barak II.

The spine mounted countermeasure dispensers have an additional 5 countermeasures each, for a total of 35 compared to the 30 we have ingame.

This means the Sufa and Barak II D can both receive an additional 20 countermeasures. Does anyone know the designation of this system?

Alright, anyone know any good tech mods to ping about this? Rejected the Aim-120B report.

“Not a bug”, uh yeah it is, and elaboration would be nice man. Like would you like sources, or do you just think it only needs the Aim-120C-5? I get either of those reasons, but it’s be nice if you gave them to me…

I also know a handful of players who prefer the Aim-120B over the Aim-120C-5. There’s also not a single aircraft that can only carry the Aim-120C-5 ingame right now and not be able to use the B alongside it.

i only have access to the archive capture, where did you find the IPE variant

We should also make a bu report for missing derby/I derby er

Can you take off the cfts?
