Totally agree with the sentiment. I disagree with the BR you’ve stated though. I think you need to get into Heavy and Super heavy to get the full experience. …So depending on the nation I’ve always been around 5.3-7.0… You can make an argument for Russia 7.7 in a down tier. This range also opens up some of the best CAS units. Games in this range are almost always far more competitive with players fielding 3-5 units for each battle. Right around 7.7+ the game shifts gears and becomes something more reminiscent of a first person CQC shooter. **imo.
I think the primary issue here is the monetization model that Gaijin chose…forever on the treadmill of new units to sell. Combine this with real world technology directly setup to counter tanks and you wind up with a situation that cannot be balanced. At this point I think adding more things that shoot in any BR is just going to create more problems than it will solve. I do see room for things like maintenance crews, fuel/resupply, and a more robust game mode that brings airfields into the field of play. To that end, make the announcement for WarThunder2. We could use a graphics engine update, and Gaijin could use a better monetization model that gets them off the balance beam.
That said, the game truly shines from 3.0-7.0 !

I can just say that I don’t have problem with facing really any tank at those BRs.
So just to make sure I’m following your math here: I counted roughly 177 vehicles in the 3.0–5.0 BR range. If “maybe 100+” of those are supposedly OP, that means about two-thirds of the entire bracket is overpowered. At that point, “OP” stops meaning “outlier” and starts meaning “the baseline,” which is a pretty creative redefinition of the term.
BR and OP doesn’t mean crud in this game anymore.
Matchmaking determines, and as stated - if a tank is permanently up tiered - then its permanently +1 BR than its "Stated BR! its a complete farce! Hence the same is tru - if a player is consistently down tiered by 1BR,., (OP)
It was not clear you were talking about 3.0-5.0. There are overpowered vehicles in that range though.
