Air 7.0-14.7 needs to be stretched to 7.0-16.0 minimum
Hi All,
I feel strongly that the DeHavilland Vampires all need their battle rating’s decreased. They are heavily overtiered and should be moved down to at most 7.3, if not 7.0.
Thanks
No answers why devs nerf COBRA KING? just for fun?
Why would they reply in random topic on forum?
Stats proved it to be too good in 5.3 so it was moved.
Too limiting - the queue times will likely go up too much for most.
A 2-step difference (5.0 plays up to 5.7 or down to 4.3) is more reasonable.
You know that BT-5 can kill much higher B.R. tanks?
A BT-5 can pen most tanks from the side even at higher tiers
What’s wrong with the MM? Why are 13.0 queue times so long lately?
that bug is not unique to Russian tanks
Lol does it really say “Dumbo” on the actual in game statcard? Thats awesome.
Anyways, the Jumbos are fine. Maybe the 76 can be a bit rough in uptiers due to being slightly below the 6.7 BR rating which sports numerous insane lineups of cvarious nations in game which due to that are played way more than others so it probably gets sucked up higher more often than not.
That doesnt change the Jumbo playstyle facing most tanks that you struggle to deal with frontally: Gun → Track → Flank
It still has very good mobility, Awesome Reload, Stab and 50 cal.
Now to that whole cc argument of it being bad and better not used when uptiered: Thats just obvious and counts for almost every heavy tank. Your gun (on average) gets worse because more enemies have better armor. And your armor becomes increasingly useless if not even a hindrance because all the guns that will easily pen you will also spall more than on a lighter armored tank that can get overpenned but is also faster due to less weight (bc of saving that armor that is useless on the Jumbo 76 bc it gets penned anyhow). So basically all the armor youre dragging along is useless to protect you, but also slows you down and spalls more when being penned by solid shot shells. BUT that counts for every single heavy tank in the game (Bar very few exceptions: Maus armor can still work when angled in full uptiers, Conqueror armor is still surprisingly strong even vs early apfsds darts)
That being said, @tokerstar , consider changing your playstyle when playing it (in 0.7 or higher uptiers). If you want to still play the jumbo in uptiers, use its mobility more, dont go frontline brawling, play it more like a medium or even light tank. Play like a rat, get on their flank, wait for your moment and then take out multiple enemies with the 6 second reload that barely anything can match.
Theres better options of tanks to play when youre fully uptiered in your 6.3 lineup, that’s for sure, but the Jumbo Shermans are far from the worst heavy tanks to be played in full uptiers. I dare you to play the Churchills, Black Prince, Conqueror or the Surbaissé in full uptiers. Either Slow af, Gun from Wish or reload from hell or multiple (and in case of the Surbaissé no stab while everything else has it and less armor than lots of medium tanks). Jumbo has only one of these downsides which can be negated by using its mobility to get into flanks ;-)
Probably plays a role.
Now the stats for the 76 Jumbo are even more interesting if you care to check those.
US 6.3 has the highest winrate of any nation at that BR. Now, admittedly that is probably influenced also by the very strong T20 that has a very high amount of matches played and the fact that not a lot of nations have a proper 6.3 lineup to begin with, so lets discard that for judging the jumbos performace.
But lets go a bit further, of all tanks at 6.3 the 76 Jumbo has the Fourth highest K/D and the fourth highest K/S ratio (for april 2026) after the (premium and events) T20, T28 and T44-FM/Super Hellcat. Its still the best performing tech tree vehicle by both metrics, which speaks strongly against it being very bad.
People that know the ways probably just refrain from spawning it in full uptiers when theres better options.
Makes sense really. I can play 5.7 all night and never get 1 downtier
Jumbo 6.3 playing in the same hole most games as the 5.7 but with a better gun.
The more i looked into the guns / pen througout the game the less sense it makes.
I earlier said the 75 was first seen at 3.7, i was wrong its 2.7, so stabilizer and armour = 3.0 BR increase.
Looking at ruski/ any other nations heavies for eg theres nothing that compares with it. Reload of ruski heavies over 6.7 is fair balance… (correct me if im wrong) but even at 4.7 the ruski heavy can pen the jumbos turret. The ruski heavies are getting the same guns as the mediuns sat beside them.
Its easy to see whats going to be good to play just by using the only stat that really matters which is pen.
Armour is relative and isnt keeping up with BR increases.
6.7 US for eg is great. Taking the same 90mm guns 1.0 BR higher tho… iv already seen enough to know how thats going to play out
Yes, at least thats what i would guess. With the insane number of matches because of very strong germany lineup at 6.7 and insnae US lineup at 6.7 and 7.0 i think its not too far fetched to guess that lots of stuff starting at 5.7 gets dragged up more frequently than usual.
Sort of. But why is the 75 mm m2 cannon on the M3 Lee (which mounts it as a casemate) relevant to the jumbo 76 discussion?
True. Jumbo has worse gun, but much better reload and mobility in turning and maneuvering and bc of this has to be played by using its (for heavy tanks of this BR range) unique short stop stabilizer to get the first shot on the Barrel or engine (of tanks with horrible turret traverse or casemates), then get its tracks with 50 cals or main gun and shoot its sides or switch to apcr. It’s just a way different playstyle for a heavy tank, some love it some don’t it for sure takes getting used to. AND its easier the closer you are to enemies, so very open maps for sure are problematic. But- if you know how and you know where- that pays half the rent.
Lots of russian heavies get the 122mm D5T cannon which, while having an insane shell and very good pen has a horrendous reload of around 21 seconds (!!!) at fully experted and almost no gun depression. In the time that guy has to reload you can shoot him almost 4 times with the jumbos 76 (considering both tanks are aced). And just a little reminder that for example the Tiger 2s can reload a shell thats just slightly worse in capabilities compared to the 122s shells in up to 7.5 seconds
Which leads to: Whenever an is2 for example gets pushed or surrounded by multiple enemies especially if they both can tank its DHSKA mg he is in serious trouble. 1 on 1, sure its a dangerous enemy. But also its muzzle brake is one of the easiest to hit of all tanks i can recall.
Staying with this example. Its not that different from the Jumbo syndrome. Russian heavy tanks use that same gun that can be found on the 5.3 premium KV-122 (the 122mm d25T with its horrible reload) all the way up until the IS4m and T-10A at 7.7.
Just so you can see that the US is not that unique with the problem of using a in some aspect problematic gun (or reload in russias case) for quite a big BR stretch.
Far from true and i think you know that. You can have for example the russian 122mm guns pen, but having a 20 second reload and basically no gun depression still doesnt make the IS-2s absolutely gamebreaking tanks. You miss one shot (which is quite easy to get volumetricked bc of the giant 122 mm shell), you get pushed by multiple enemies, You’re on a very hilly map with tons of sneaky fast rats surrounding you -yes this is a Hellcat PTSD moment- and youre in big big trouble. Its the combination of tools a tank has or at least aspects that can help you to negate its downsides. It has supar pen? Does it have mobility to get in flanking positions quickly and shoot 3 tanks into the sides or back with a very quick reload? It has bad reload? Does it have smokes or a good reverse gear to retreat and reload before having to face the next enemy and maybe gun handling to quickly switch to another angle?
YES. that is very correct! Thats exactly why spawning heavies in uptiers is a gamble unless you play much more careful and maybe switch to support your allies that are not uptiered and protect their flanks instead of playing breakthrough tank like you would if you were downtiered.
Custom localisation
Wdym? its customized by spookston or whatever cc it was copied from?
No, it’s a langmod I made for myself and posted on github.
My game looks like that
ARGH i really wanted it to be true. Insert NOOOOOOO meme of guy crying theatrically in US talkshow :-(
