[Discussion] A Meaningful Reward for Level 100 Veterans: Multi-Nation Custom Lineups

Hello everyone,

As many players reach Account Level 100 or unlock top-tier vehicles across multiple nations, there is a recurring feeling in the community that reaching max level lacks a truly impactful endgame reward. At the same time, veterans who have dedicated years to researching different tech trees often wish for a way to field their hard-earned vehicles in customized, thematic lineups without disrupting the core economy or game balance.

I would like to open a constructive discussion on a potential endgame feature concept: The National Custom Lineup System .

1. The Core Concept

  • Unlocking the “Global” Tab: Upon reaching Account Level 100, a new optional hangar tab (e.g., “Global”) becomes available alongside the standard national tech tree tabs.
  • Lineup Flexibility: Within this dedicated slot, max-level players can construct a custom lineup using vehicles they have already legitimately researched and purchased across different nations (for example, combining a Leopard 2A7, M1A2 SEPv2, or Pantsir-S1 into a single endgame preset).

2. Economic & Gameplay Safeguards

To ensure this feature remains fair, balanced, and non-disruptive to standard progression, several strict safeguards are built into the concept:

  • Zero Grind Bypass (Native RP Allocation): Research Points (RP) earned in battle are not pooled into a generic queue. Any RP earned by a specific vehicle is credited 100% directly toward its original native tech tree . Playing a German Leopard in a custom lineup continues to research German vehicles.
  • Ground Realistic Battles (GRB): Full freedom of selection. Since friendly markers exist, team identification remains clear, and vehicles fight at their standard Matchmaking/BR values.
  • Ground Simulator Battles (GSB): Strict geopolitical bloc locking (e.g., NATO/Western vs. Eastern/Warsaw Pact) per match to prevent friendly-fire issues in markerless modes.
  • Strict Level 100 Access: This system is strictly designed as an endgame perk, preserving standard nation-by-nation progression for new and mid-tier players.

3. Benefits for the Game Ecosystem

  • Veteran Retention: Provides max-level players with a long-term sandbox goal and a reason to stay active after finishing their main trees.
  • Incentivizes Multi-Nation Grinding: Encourages players to research brand-new tech trees from scratch to acquire specific vehicles they want for their custom setups.
  • Monetization & Customization: Opens avenues for official historical camouflage/skin packs on the Gaijin Store/Market, allowing players to represent non-represented armed forces aesthetically without duplicating vehicle models.

(This menu would display operator flags for vehicles in your collection, including nations currently lacking standalone tech trees, such as Chile, Vietnam, Mexico, and many others)

Key Discussion Questions for the Community:

  1. Do you feel Account Level 100 currently lacks sufficient endgame incentives?
  2. What additional rules or balance parameters would you recommend to ensure this remains fair in Realistic Battles?
  3. Would a feature like this motivate you to research tech trees you currently don’t play?

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and constructive feedback!

no because then it would allow people to bring the rattiest tanks and planes from every nation into their lineup and completely ruin gameplay for everyone else

Ah yes, because level 100 marshals didn’t abuse new players at lower tiers enough! Now let’s allow them to have all their op event vehicles in the same line up, no matter the nation!

one nation only lineups are a core part of WT. it must stay.

however i would like for my huge bank of free RP to actually be worth something rather than a useless number than goes up for no benefit.

If i could research all other vehicle types in one tree with one vehicle type instead of it going into a useless “free RP” pot i would appreciate it, we already can do that with the heli grind with tanks, why not expand that so that once we have all of one vehicle type we can researth the other with that vehicle type?

How it feels to know that I have 7,344,521 rp that I’ll never be able to use:

Yes. That is my current exact number. I really wish I could use that to grind the Naval trees!

That’s actually a very fair concern regarding low/mid-tier event vehicle stacking. To completely eliminate low-tier sealclubbing or ‘rat vehicle’ overload, what if the Global Lineup system was strictly restricted to Rank VI+ (or BR 9.0 and above)? That way, low-tier gameplay remains completely untouched, and the feature stays focused solely on top-tier endgame players.

53 million free RP. just let me use it to research naval so i can get HMS Rodney or something, ive put the thousands of hours in already man

I think in general lvl like 30 and under players should have their own match making to help with seal clubbing. Rn they get one match against bots after a crappy tutorial that barely teaches them anything and then after that they’re thrown into the animal enclosure!

Convertible rp is honestly one of the worst features in this game! They should give it to us for free! We grinded for it, we deserve it!

Appreciate the constructive feedback! I completely understand the purist viewpoint on single-nation lineups. For me, however, a primary motivation behind this concept is wanting to field vehicles operated by my home country within a single preset—something currently impossible since those vehicles are scattered across multiple tech trees.

Still, I’m glad we agree that Account Level 100 currently lacks meaningful endgame incentives. Your suggestion regarding expanded cross-vehicle research (similar to the tank-to-helicopter system) is also a fantastic idea for high-level progression!

agreed. I love to sealclub but thats why the NA servers exist. Americans are not good at video games, vs the EU gamers. I do think noob protection until around level 30 is a need to let them learn in a safer environment before veterans smash their skulls in. It also stops teams getting dragged into the abyss by a top tier premium noob

I also might get a little hate for this, but as a console player I would also like to see console only matches. In enlisted we had a toggle that allowed us to have matches only against console players and I would love to see that for WT too. ARB is a nightmare for me as pc players have a huge advantage over console players.

even if its at a heavy penalty like 10 free RP for a single RP point into a vehicle i think it would be a good way to get people like myself who has only recently left their main nation (i played britain almost exclusively since 2022 when i started) to properly stick with it if the grind is subsidised by RP that would be wasted when we play our tried and true lineups already spaded and aced.

Reaching max level is hardly the endgame of WT. More like the end of the beginning.

Totally agree on the issue with low-level premium players dragging down top-tier teams. Joining 11.7+ matches with a level 15 account right after buying a single top-tier premium package completely ruins match quality.

Even Backup vehicles feel like a quick band-aid fix to a much deeper issue—half the time those backups spawn completely stock without basic essential modifications like Parts or FPE.

That’s actually another key reason why a dedicated Level 100 feature makes sense: it actively rewards experienced players who have built deep, fully-upgraded lineups across tech trees, encouraging long-term battle retention instead of one-death leavers!

IIRC that already exists for console, but servers are dead. I know of a banned player who ground out tech trees by abusing that system with friends farming kills on each other. DONT DO THAT.

I would like to be able to turn off crossplay as the tracking assist console gets makes it rather unfair when they are using SPAA vs unassisted aiming from a mouse and keyboard player.

So I’ll say no for the same reason I have problems with all of the copy paste in subtrees

Part of what makes the game so interesting, and adds strategic depth, is the asymmetry between nations

I really like when a match plays out very differently depending on the nations on each side

It’s interesting when German, British, Russian, American, etc allies and enemies have unique play styles, and this would take away from what level of asymmetry we still have

They need to make it so that they can’t buy top tier premiums until they’re like rank II or III in at least one nation, so that they’re a little experienced

The end of the worlds worst tutorial. “heres a million silver lions, now punish others as you were punished learning the game”

It does? I tried looking for it but I couldn’t find the toggle for it
