During my research I found their source for the nerf

Funnily enough, the M830A1 started out with 0.966 kg explosive mass. It was changed to the current value after this bug report from two years ago: Community Bug Reporting System, which cited TM 9-1300-251-20 and TM 43-0001-28 stating that the total explosive mass is 8.48 kg and the propellant mass is 7.1 kg, so the warhead explosive mass should be the difference 8.48-7.1=1.38 kg. I have yet to find a source directly stating the warhead explosive mass though.

Gaijin: we can’t use Russian sources to buff the Abrams, but we can use Russian sources to nerf the Abrams.

The manufacturer of the round is at fault, and nothing more to say than that really.
Also I don’t see evidence of that being a source let alone a sole source.

@SpeclistMain1 making stuff up sadly.

From Direct Fire Ammunition Handbook at Page 123, explosive mass is showed as being 2.1 lb which is roughly what we have in game now.

Pay load: 2.1lb (97.0kg)… The USAs arch nemesis, the metric system.

this make no cents

https://www.bulletpicker.com/pdf/TM-43-0001-28-1994.pdf#page=154
these 2 documents from bullet picker stated differently
packing metal container weight total 71.2lbs
it use m774 fuze which are way different than m509a1
it use PA116 Metal Container
also muzzle velocity is wrong
but
but
image
and then

stated propellant weight of 7.1kg

i dont know anymore

total explosive weight of the M380A1 is 18.69lb, including the propellant to fire it
image
and we also know that it uses the same propellant as the M329A1
image

with the M329A1 being a sabot it only has the propellant as an explosive, which ammounts to 17.5lb
image

image

18.69lb - 17.5 lb = 1.19lb
1.19lb = 0.54kg
so the round has more explosive filler after the nerf than it has IRL

the guy made an error in conversion or something because the second value of 7.1kg or ~15.65lb is nowhere listed in that document but the following is

there is so many different sources i got confuse
because like https://www.fbcinc.com/source/Northrop_Resources/120mm_M830A1.pdf federal business council stated 7.1kg

i rather trust the offical technical manual for army ammunition data sheets than a marketing flyer

unless i made a mistake somewhere and there are more explosives in a sabot than the propellant

yeah but Direct Fire Ammunition Handbook at Page 123 is also a manual
i tried to find on DTIC but there is no mention about stuff either

i think you made a mistake
i dont think anyone is right here
because 0.4kg A II is not sufficient enough to become HEAT
0.8kg of tnt is extremely low, like ww2 heat low
bruh
man
i dont know anymore
i dig further and further and more rabbit holes are found
do you think these are all decoys documents
because every document stated differently and nothing is right
im honestly losing it

well i dont think you should use something that fails to do a proper conversion between imperial and metric
image

and it is also listing the wrong explosive

then pls tell me where,
the only possible mistake would be that there are explosives somewhere else in the sabot besides the propellant

yeah like thats what im thinking
but like base on ur calculation
0.4kg Comp A II is not enough at all to blow up obstacles or have enough explosive to deal with armored target or helis
its basically rpg-4
which make no sense
mpat is used to deal against fortification, light vehicle, helicopter or low flying target
but low explosive mass wont cut anything

the M830 also has a balistic cap which would certainly help
image

so its basically explosive sabot
but then idk how it make sense to use sabot against airborned target either

maybe through a really percise shot and the shrapnel is doing the rest?
image

yes but it has proximity fuse that can reach 10m radius
also i think theres plenty vid of it shooting stuff and its way lethal
so im honestly dont know
i cant find anything else
