Discounts on Rare Variants of the Mi-24 for the Anniversary of its First Flight!

The maiden flight of the first production model of the Soviet Mi-24 attack helicopter took place on September 19th 1969. Capable of carrying up to eight troops and withstanding small arms fire, it also held the speed record among helicopters for a long time. These qualities ensured its widespread adoption and high demand: over 2,500 Mi-24s were produced, and some remain in service to this day. The Mi-24, known in NATO as the “Hind”, became a symbol of Soviet helicopter engineering.

About the Mi-24D

  • The Mi-24D variant entered service in 1976, and deliveries to Czechoslovakia began as early as 1978. This version featured a new 12.7 mm YakB four-barrel machine gun and a modified cockpit. The Mi-24D is a heavy yet fast helicopter with a versatile array of external weaponry, ranging from formidable Phalanga ATGMs and a vast number of unguided rockets to a 23 mm cannon and 250 kg or 500 kg bombs.

About the Mi-24P

  • The Mi-24P variant replaced the YakB machine gun with the 30 mm GSh-30-2K cannon to boost effectiveness against enemy vehicles; hits to the roof with armor-piercing rounds can be fatal for many MBTs! These helicopters were operated by East Germany and Hungary, each with a unique livery. The armament is roughly comparable to that of the Mi-24D, with the Shturm anti-tank missile system remaining the star of the show.

Nice

Will we be able to use these in Nuclear Escalation any time soon? Flying these out in air SIM EC would be pretty cool too.

@Stona_WT is there plans to add helis like these to Nuclear Escalation still?

Thank you for bringing the PZH2000 tank to the Italian team.I purchased a Mi-24P from an Italian company.I only want to use this helicopter in BR 9.7 arcade games. But while playing, other helicopters also arrive.can we make an update?

So do you own one irl?

This is a rather non-informative statement, Mi-24P apart from better missiles also have S-8KO rockets, which hit pretty hard, especially considering that unlike Mi-24D, P-variant also has a ballistic computer.

PS kinda hate Hungarian Hinds, since we are still missing multiple Italian helies, which could be placed in that line, but they never come for some reason, like for example AB-47J, A.109AT, AB-204B, AB-412 and A129A.
I mean even Germany received a separate line for its DDR helicopters, but in the Italian branch Hungarian Hinds and Italian Agustas are still mixed into a single line, with no Italian in-between helicopters have come since the announcement was made by BVV_d on the dev-stream, except a top of the line - AH-129D.
