The British Royal Air Force was founded at the end of the First World War on April 1st, 1918. During the interwar period, the RAF became the largest air force in the world. Thanks to its excellent aircraft and skilled pilots during the Second World War, the RAF achieved victory in the skies during the Battle of Britain, successfully defending the homeland against Nazi Germany.

One of the Royal Air Force’s most famous aircraft in the second half of the 20th century was the Hawker Siddeley Harrier jet. It was the first aircraft to enter production that featured vertical/short takeoff and landing (V/STOL) capabilities. It entered service on April 1st 1969 and served until 2006 after several upgraded modifications.

The Attacker FB.2 was a carrier-based jet fighter produced by Supermarine in the 1950s. This variant features a more powerful engine and four 20 mm Hispano Mk.V cannons, while its external weaponry includes 500 lb and 1,000 lb bombs and 12 RP-3 rockets.

the harriers first flight and entries into service arent even close to today’s date, it was on the 18th of April it entered service and 28th of December 1967 for first flight

ill reword so stona understands

?? the AV8a and AV8B NA are not even RAF service vehicles but are on sale for the RAF anniversary
seems weird to lump US kit with a British thing

Gotta love the double wording XD

Short-range “Short Range Air-to-Air Missile” air-to-air missile.

With the new harrier updates, this is incredibly tempting. I even have the GE for it, but too bad it’s not 50% off.

From article:

The Typhoon Mk Ib and Attacker FB.2 are temporarily available for Golden Eagles!

During the same period, you can get the Harrier GR.1

Dunno, sounds a lot like RAF aircraft.

its only got about 50% of its actual range. bug reports about this were accepted two years ago

Any chance of getting the Harrier IR sigs fixed, fix their flight models, and just in-general modelling the Harriers to the same standard as other aircraft? The difference in how the Harriers are modelled in relation to everything else is like comparing the MSFS F/A-18 to the DCS F/A-18.

I mean we waited for years to get the proper HUD for the Sea Harrier’s and even those have been added in a broken state with some barely usable features.

you know exactly what part i mean don’t be dense.

We put 3 RAF aircraft on sale + 2 US Harriers (which are more or less British origin aircraft) and you pretend you see only the later.

im just questioning why american kit is on sale for a British anniversary. they’ve been independent from us for what like 310 years.

coulda separated the harrier stuff to its date of first flight if you want to flog harriers for cheaper and not have a strange mashup of American vehicles in the RAF anniversary

Could probably throw an SRAAM as far as the range it has in-game, if not further.

yeah, i know, but as of currently its probabally more useful for the pilot to have a zweihander

I could throw a brick further than SRAAM likes going.

the GR1 vs GR3 and AV8A has literally nothing worthwhile.

no countermeasures, non functional missiles. but its the same BR

I’m actually confused at why the AV8A is 9.7 as it and the matador in the japan tree have a ton of CM. seem very undertiered compared to their British peers capabilities

Is the AV8B pack on sale for console too? Or is this another event where console players miss out on sales?

dont get your hopes up mate

Also the AV-8C should get the AN/ALE 37 CM pod this pod is equipable on every pylon so in theory you could hold 5 of them on any USMC harrier 1 or Thai Harriers.

Gr.3 is still missing Phimat, CVR7, and AIM 9L (a Gr.3 late would be cool in a post Falklands spec with the nose transceiver)

Both FRS.1 Sea Harriers are using the wrong RWR

All Harriers are missing lots of achievable AOA and VIFF does not effect the pitch rate like it should. Nor does it even add a fraction of the ITR it should add.

What that?

During the Falklands they added a transponder to talk with ships and do various other IFF functions.
Our Gr.3 is pre falklands.

If they added a post Falklands one it would just be a cool little detail same as reducing the size of the Airbreak.
